Libertarian Commentary on the News, #13-30F: California and more trouble

By Nathan Barton

Good morning, and hope you are having a GREAT weekend!

Have to start with a FUN story. According to Tranzi, the UN is contemplating not just forcing Detroit to provide water free to residents, but forcing people to migrate from California due to the severe drought, which is expanding. The UN says that too many people live in California.  The site reporting this thinks that would be a good thing – but living in areas which already have high rates of migration from the Left Coast, I can assure you that would be a disaster for the states where Californians flee, especially if it is into Palestinian-style refugee camps.  For years, I’ve seen Californians who consider themselves “libertarian” or “conservative” move to Colorado, Wyoming, even South Dakota, where their views and actions are those of dyed in the wool statists and lovers of government, taxes, and mandates.  YES, there are exceptions (like Mama Liberty), but she isn’t even a significant minority of these refugees from the “Golden State.”  Still, this is funny: California is flooded with refugees and border jumpers from everywhere, and the UN wants to start deporting them to ????

Mama’s Note: Maybe the answer would be to give these “refugees” from California “40 acres and a mule,” on land the government claims to own. No “voting” or politics until they have “proved up.” Homesteading, in that case, would be a great way to reclaim the land and keep the statists out of our hair. Unfortunately, not one in a million would go for it.

Despite a few claims to the contrary, media insists that the people of Israel are united behind Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the military’s efforts in Gaza and the West Bank.  The war, now more than three weeks old, has resulted in 1400 deaths, and perhaps billions in costs and destruction.  In trying to determine the causes of the war, and who shot first, it seems as though there is no place to stop short of the bad blood between Jacob and Esau, and Jacob cheating Esau out of their father’s blessing.  Some pikers want to only go back as far as the first Jewish settlements (by non-native Jews from Europe or America) in the 19th Century, or to the Independence of the modern State of Israel.  Idiots claim it is because some kids got kidnapped and tortured, or some Israeli settlers attacked Arab youth.  But the point isn’t so much WHAT started it, as it is WHAT can end it.  Even when necessary, war is BAD: innocent people get killed.  Treasure and blood are squandered.

It’s nothing new, but several folks point out that the Democrat candidate for the Senate from Kentucky is an idiot. Example: “ The Iron Dome has been a big reason why Israel has been able to withstand the terrorists that have tried to tunnel their way in.” This Alison Lundergan Grimes seems perfectly suited to fit in with Shumer, Norton, Reid, Wassermann-Schulz, Boxer, Pelosi and crew. She is not an intelligent lady; she sure can quote the Democrat talking points, which also means that she isn’t that much different from most GOP candidates, but the moment she gets asked a question of substance, she proves that she has no “real” idea about what’s going on.  It is more than just IQ I’m talking about, it is also how much Kool-Aid they’ve guzzled, whether “conservative” or “neo-con” or “liberal” or Tranzi.  Look at some of the “first” Star Wars trilogy at the Old Republic’s Senate, and you’ll see the same thing.

The majority of Americans don’t want to provide new homes for children supposedly fleeing gangs in Latin America.  I am still waiting for someone to explain to me how a 15-month-old, or a 3-year-old, can walk/sneak all the way from Honduras through Mexico to Texas or Arizona.  This isn’t the Children’s Crusade, folks!

Liberals (Tranzis) love the one percent, Democrat or not (and it is interesting to see how many ARE Democrats or Socialists).  Money, power, prestige, and hot bods, The People/US/Inquirer generation, I guess.  Still, the Dems and Tranzis are trying to “reach out.”  It seems that Red States don’t want “real” Democrats… so Democrats are pretending to be Republicans to get elected.  Not new, of course, I’ve seen that happening in South Dakota for more than two decades.  It gets confusing, because a lot of South Dakota Republicans sound more like Democrats in other places anyway.  And too many people forget that the GOP, in history and philosophy, IS a SOCIALIST political party and movement.  It is not hard to argue that the Tea Party Movement members are the RINO. Especially folks like “Tea Party candidate” Milton Wolf who is getting closer in his race to unseat Pat Roberts (R-KS), whose voting and speaking record shows little that is “conservative.”

Well, don’t say a lot of us didn’t tell you so: just days later, the DC police are back to business as usual, protecting people from being able to defend themselves by carrying personal defense weapons. Apparently the Nazgul was stampeded into putting a stay for 90 days in place after deciding the law was unconstitutional.

That Fuehrer-thug, Eric Holder, is suing police for treating women as equals. The DOJ is suing the Pennsylvania State Police for alleged sexual discrimination. Not because the PSP are forcing women to pay for their own birth-control; but because women are being held to the same standards as their male counterparts for things like physical conditioning!

On the issue of migrating persons out of California. I am all for it . I want to see it done at bayonet point. Send the people back to Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, all the places they came from during the Dust Bowl years. The rest can be sent to Honduras and Guatemala, I believe they have openings.

I have long supported a border fence around the N,E, W borders of AZ. I want to keep out those from CA, CO, and East of the Mississipi. I don’t mind those from Mexico, many of them will at least work and make OK neighbors.

Why all the violence and confusion? Eliminate the welfare, and all the other goodies paid for with stolen goods. Welcome people who want to live and let live, and defend yourself against the rest. Much better and simpler for everyone. Well, except for the politicians and the free shit army.
