Are we’uns stooopid? Too many ‘merkins is, it seems

By Nathan Barton

It is a steady drumbeat.  Every day, I get to read a couple – shucks, a half-dozen or more – stories (“news stories?”) in the mainstream media AND the alternative media that point out the stupid behavior of many people.

What kind of people?  The media (all types, really) for once.  Officialdom.  (At all levels.) Criminals.  And, sadly, common and ordinary people.  And it is clear that the media and officials and politicians and their puppetmasters understand how stupid people can be.  Even if those manipulators are themselves stupid.

“Enjoy” some examples with me.

I know that after the Florida killings, people are in a panic and overreact to anything and everything.  And when you are stupid, it is even worse: you overreact and then you overreact to the reaction.

And apparently, the people and cops of Oberlin, in Allen Parish, Louisiana, are as stupid as stupid can be.  A student was interrogated, and his home was searched by detectives, after a fellow student called in a terroristic threat, as reported in Townhall.com. The student was working on math problems in class when his classmates saw him draw the picture of a gun.  Specifically of a pistol.

Here is what he drew:

So, besides being stupid and very poor math students, the inmates at Oberlin High School in Louisiana are also panic-driven, so hoplophobic that even THAT symbol scares them. I suppose that THIS symbol means either THREE pistols or a pistol that can shoot three times as much or three times as fast.

And when we are awarding points for stupidity, let us not forget that government-ruined, theft-funded school’s math teacher and administrators, who didn’t point out the obvious and stop their other students from their stupidity – to say nothing of the sheriff and the detective.  (And probably a judge – how could ANY sane man find “probable cause” in drawing a square root symbol, to authorize a search warrant.  Assuming that the sheriff bothered with mere fiddling details like that.)

Also from Townhall we have this gem: there WAS an armed, on-duty “school resource officer” (read: cop) who “failed to engage” the Florida killer.

Even the liberal sheriff spoke slightingly and disrespectfully of this man.  He said “he never went in.”  He failed to engage immediately, they reported, even though video and eye witnesses said that the gunshots could clearly be heard from where this bozo in blue was standing outside the building.  He was standing there for four minutes.  Four minutes of the six minutes in which the killer murdered seventeen people and wounded another two dozen.  And then, according to some reports, he went into the building and hid in the bottom of a stairwell.

Some alternative media attacked the incompetence of the bozo and the entire Sheriff’s office.

I think that is mealymouthed, or just plain stupid.  And WE are stupid if we believe it.  I see a coward in a uniform. Either a coward, or (as my son pointed out) someone paid off to not interfere.  When an investigation was opened on this thug’s conduct, and he was put on suspension WITHOUT pay (incredible!), this coward/accomplice resigned. (Not just a physical coward but a moral coward as well.) For all we know, he is on his way to Mexico or Jamaica or wherever to join the missing security guard from the hotel in Las Vegas.  (Or did that guy “miss the second half of his flight” somewhere over the ocean?)

I really want to know how that should have stopped the rest of his “brothers in blue” from arresting him and dumping him in a cell next to that occupied by the killer.  Whether as an act of cowardice or a deliberate betrayal of his “sworn” obligation to serve and protect, this man is nothing more than an accessory DURING the fact to the murder of seventeen humans.  The very same people he was assigned to the school, supposedly, to protect.  I really want to know if the people of Broward County are SO STUPID as to not immediately convene a jury and view the video tape and interview the witnesses, in order to determine his guilt – and if guilty, to sentence him to death.  Along with the killer. At least, the killer in custody who confessed publicly to the killings and shootings.

Apparently the stupid media and stupid politicians (including this sheriff) think we are too stupid to do anything but go along with their fun and games.  Sadly, we as a people probably are.

Mama’s Note: It is indeed tragic that the “officer” betrayed the trust given him, but nothing is going to change until people accept that the parents of those children share at least some of the blame. Parents are responsible for the safety and education of their children.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the long run. So much for armed “guards” at schools.

That square root story is a giant sign of how upside down our society is. It will take a long time to wean ourselves off such stupidity.

“And when you are stupid, it is even worse: you overreact and then you overreact to the reaction.” That is a great and true statement!

Remember the difference between ignorance and stupidity. Ignorance is the absence of information. These children are being taught false “information” on almost every level. They are also prevented from developing the ability to think critically. These children are, for the most part, ignorant of truth and practical matters.

Stupidity is the refusal to accept truth or learn from mistakes, regardless how it is presented. The administrators and teachers demonstrate great stupidity.
