A guest writer, Russian Stanislav Mishin, for JPFO, has some words of wisdom for us, based on his nation’s history for the last couple of centuries.

Do not be fooled by a belief that progressives, leftists hate guns. Oh, no, they do not. What they hate is guns in the hands of those who are not marching in lock step of their ideology. They hate guns in the hands of those who think for themselves and do not obey without question. They hate guns in those whom they have slated for a barrel to the back of the ear.

Amen and amen.  As Mama Liberty constantly pointed out, it is all about control.

Whatever unknown genius in China or Persia or Europe invented the first crude firearm would give, indirectly, the gift of liberty to millions if not billions of people.  Texans had a saying, “God created man, but Colonel Colt made ’em equal.” But like all other tools of human history, from rocks and axeheads and shillelaghs, to electricity and drugs and aircraft, firearms are eagerly gasped by the controllers. Those who want no liberty but their own.  No power for anyone but themselves.

At the same time as they put the weapons into service of their own greed and lust for power, they seek to denigrate and vilify those very same devices.  They try to convince people that only an elite can master and use them. That only the powers-that-be can safely have them, wield them, use them for “good.”

It is, of course, a giant scam, that no doubt started with Cain.  And was used by Nimrod and all those who seek to be gods (and claim to speak for the gods). Even when the “gods” are now “the People.”  Or the Proletariat.  Or are looking out for the best interests of the children.  Or the poor.  Or the victims of persecution and racism and all the other excuses.

Ironically, one of the legacies of Tsardom, Soviet Russia, and the sick and sad history of Russian loss of liberty has been to give the world the AK-47 and its sisters.  Simple, cheap, dependable, and available, it in many ways has done for modern, self-defense firearms today, what Sam Colt did for handguns 180 years ago, and what Henry Ford did for automobiles almost a century ago: put them into the hands of millions.  Some will use them for evil, but many will use them for good.

Stanislav finishes with this thought:

So, Americans listen up, do not fall for the false promises and do not extinguish the light that is left to allow humanity a measure of self respect.

The entire idea of life is to enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That pursuit is not just for prosperity or property but the effort to achieve eternal life in whatever way you believe is the proper way to proceed.  To have these things, you must be willing to let others have these things.  We do not GAIN liberty or life by taking them away from others – even though self-defense sometimes requires that we do so to an aggressor, to someone who who attempts to control us by actions of aggression.

The controllers are those who make the false promises and seek to deny to others what they want themselves.  These are not afraid of the weapons themselves, but (as Stanislav points out), weapons in the hands whom they cannot trust and must control.  That is you and I: lovers of liberty, lovers of family and peace and prosperity.  Lovers of God who reject the controllers’ efforts to replace each and everyone of these things with their lies and perversions.

It is, of course, more than just those weapons.  The same motive is behind their attempts to control media, transportation, medicine, knowledge in general.  And land and business and recreation.  All (in the eyes of the controllers) are tools to keep and increase their control: their power and wealth.

If we wish life, liberty, and happiness, we must oppose them.  We must reject their lies, take the tools invented by man, and use them to defend ourselves and others.  Do we really have any other rational choice?
