There are dozens of countries that have very loudly and publicly announced that they support Hamas in the Gaza Strip and are opposed to Israeli military attacks and occupation of the territory. And the Hamas claim that nearly 35,000 people (largely women and children) have been killed by the evil Israelis.

There are a few nations that support Israeli operations and at least tacitly (if reluctantly) do so as they see it as self-defense on the part of the State of Israel. These nations seem to be willing to back up their words with actual support: supplies, ammo, weapons, intel. If not as much as they give to Ukraine, still a fair amount.

And some of them are actually playing both sides by delivering “humanitarian supplies” to Gaza, by air and soon by sea. Even though Hamas responded by claiming that the Great Satan (FedGov) killed more women and children by airdropping supplies.

But those nations – as far as I know every Muslim nation on the planet and many more – who condemn Israel and support Hamas, or at least the people of the Gaza Strip? What are they doing? I think that Egypt is sending some food and medical supplies. And the Houthis in Yemen are supporting Hamas by attacking ships in the Red Sea.

Both other than that? We have Arabs in Samaria and Judea (the West Bank), and Hezbollah in Lebanon attacking Israel in support of Hamas.

And… otherwise? Nada. Zip. Null.

South Africa has joined other detractors of the State of Israel by announcing that any South African fighting with or for Israel in the Gaza Strip will be arrested, tried, and convicted of that when (if?) they return to South Africa. How daring! How sacrificial!

Let us put it bluntly. If Israel is such a monster, committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, and an evil colonial regime, then why are not these countries putting their assets forward to fight it? Don’t tell us it is because they are abiding by the UN dream and have beaten all their swords into plowshares. These countries have plenty of the stuff that Hamas could use to reverse the situation and start committing genocide against the #$#$%$# Jews, no? Missiles, raw explosives for IEDs, ammo, even artillery and aircraft that could be based in Lebanon or Syria or even Jordan and NW Saudi Arabia or … with the right gifts in certain pockets … the Sinai Peninsula or the Western Desert. And they don’t have to send their own military units. They can send volunteers along with the aid convoys going into Gaza from Egypt, or via ships in the Med seeking a cargo to deadhead as they go to Egypt, Libya, etc. to pick up another load of refugee migrants to haul to Italy and Greece and Spain.

South Africa’s reversparteid (new word we made up) could have planeloads of volunteers in “surplus” SA Army uniforms and kit landing in Aden or Khartoum or even Cairo in hours and be infiltrating by land and see in days. If not hours.

But they don’t, do they?

Because, first and foremost, they are immoral, gutless wonders – they are cowards. Not necessarily the soldiers – excuse me, the volunteers. But their so-called “democratically-elected” leaders – the politicians and the elites – are. And do not tell me it is Uncle Joe or the similarly-gutless wonders in the US House of Representatives and US Senate that they fear.

(Although I suppose that there just possibly might be – low probability though it may be. There might be an American flag officer with enough intestinal fortitude to not let himself (or herself) be distracted by the onerous job of force feeding DEI and renaming military streets and buildings. And actually help the Israelis fight off the hordes. Maybe.)

It is Israel that they fear. Israelis, Israelites, Jews, Hebrews, Juden, whatever you call them have been around for a long time. A long, long time. Maybe (if you go all the way back to Abraham) 4,000 years. And much of that time, they’ve been the punching bags of big powers: start with Egypt and go right on down the pages of history: Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Macedonians, Syrians, Romans, Byzantines, Persians (again), Arabs, Turks, Brits, Arabs (again and again). But they are still around. And not many of those who beat up on them are. (Brits are, for now.)

And now they have nukes. And fighter-attack pilots with guts. And a few friends here and there.

The Israeli government is a government: readers know our opinion of those gangs. But even though Israelis get abused by their own government, they still (believers in YHWH or not) are willing to give better than they get. I suspect that the fat woman and all her colleagues there in South Africa are not so stupid that they can’t think about that. And worry about an Israeli nuke on Pretoria or Jo’burg if a battalion or so of ANC “volunteers” try to pull another 7 OCT 23 deal. And any Arab who remembers or was told about Entebbe knows it doesn’t have to be nukes to really, really hurt.

And even indifferent students of history might remember Masada. And the Israeli willingness to avoid that: this time it wouldn’t be Eleazar Ben-Yair and his people committing suicide while Titus’ Romans stand around down below. Or not the Israelis alone: a few neutron warheads and some bunker-busters would open up vast territories for resettlement where three continents come together.

But these cowards will instead do their best to intimidate the pusillanimous pieces of garbage in DC, London, and Brussels to slip a dagger under the ribs of the State of Israel. Something that Uncle Joe and the claimed son of Pierre Trudeau and quite a few other leaders in the West would seem to have little trouble with, provided they can be sneaky enough about it.

Just a wee bit to think about, as events spiral up more and more.
