Bad as The Donald is, we cannot help but be grateful that Kammie the Commie is going to have to pack up and move further than the few blocks from Blair House to the White House come January.

Yes, we know it is fall (especially since we finally got freezing temps at night here in the compound). But except for the never-Trumpers and the totally brainwashed or master manipulators in “Blue,” a lot of people seem to be relieved that we will not have a fourth Obummer term.
We understand that The Donald is still a statist, and as Massa he will not restore the Republic, much less institute a libertarian-minarchist regime. But we realize (and pray) that he will be a tremendous improvement on the last half-dozen or so White House dwellers: Biden, Trump 1.0, Obummer, W, Willie Jefferson C, and Bush I. Yes, better than his first term.
What can he do better, short of going back to the Articles of Confederation or even the pre-1913 US Constitution?
Here are a Baker’s Dozen (TM) ideas:
- Bring the troops home. From everywhere.
- Give all federal land except military bases and DC to the States.
- End all foreign aid.
- End income taxes, at least for tips (gifts), overtime, and senior citizens living only on their retirement and savings.
- Promote limiting Congresscritters to six years in office in each house: one term for senators and three for representatives.
- Stop DC’s meddling in other countries: yes, even Canada and Mexico and the Caribbean.
- End the Departments of Education and Homeland Security. For a start.
- Stop FedGov subsidies of State agencies and schools.
- Audit the Fed (Federal Reserve) and then act on the recommendations of the audit. (Honest audit, not some government agency bilge.)
- End the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and sign a compact with each individual State to deal with Federal crimes.
- End the CIA and all the other federal spook agencies. Create one or more new agencies, probably in the Departments of Defense and Commerce to just spy, and nothing else. (Make it a life sentence or death penalty for any US agent that plays the CIA games.)
- End FedGov welfare for corporations and individuals.
- Cut the Federal workforce by 50% – to start with. Do it through layoffs, retirements, merger of agencies (examples: Commerce and Labor, Agriculture and Interior, at the departmental level.)
These thirteen are just off the top of the head, with not a whole lot of thought on priority and scheduling. But the idea is to start returning to the pre-War Between the States balance between States and their servant, the FedGov. We could easily add a dozen more.
This is, of course, almost sheer fantasy. But it is exciting. And offers goals to work towards. And we know that these are neither anarchist nor minarchist ideals. But aren’t they a start in the right direction?
Because we know that members of both old parties are going to fight him and his surrogates tooth and nail to keep their prestige, power, and wealth.
We also know this would cause a nearly cataclysmic disruption of these States. But we are well past time for that, and this is a chance to do it with relatively little violence. Which otherwise will come.
For once on this poor benighted planet, let us have a “color revolution” here at home that truly is an American Spring, not a dog-and-pony-and-blood (sooner or later) show put on by DC, London, and/or Peking, Moscow, and Brussels.
