Lovers of liberty – by contrast – have little (or no) love for either of the old parties. Both Republicans and Democrats have sold out liberty, freedom, and these States – the whole nation – time and time again.
However, overall? Certainly in the last century the Democratic Party has demonstrated itself to be a greater enemy of liberty than those in GOP red. Maybe not a whole lot worse, but still worse. And although all too often the GOP types in various bodies and offices have facilitated and enabled the Dems in their evil actions, it seems to be the Democrats that really push their war against human liberty.
While of course screaming loudly about how they are protecting fundamental human rights and have the best interests of everyone in mind.
And condemning not just Republicans but conservatives, libertarians, and people who just want to be left alone for being evil monsters. Sexists, racists, and so many other slanders and libels are an essential part of most Democrats’ vocabulary. Those, and of course, their redefining of common words.
(Again, yes, GOP types do the same things. To their political enemies and to words that they think they can get away with warping. But once again, the GOP seems to be “me too – just a bit later and slower.” Most modern GOP types should be ashamed that they (and their older comrades) were so opposed to the likes of JFK, LBJ, HHH, and even Jimmy Carter. 21st Century Republicans have largely embraced ideas that they claimed (back in the 1960s and 1970s) were tantamount to tyranny, Communism, and common decency. This me-too business hasn’t seemed to help them much.)
But as we enter the last few weeks – even days – of the 118th Congress, we at TPOL are grateful to God that we are bidding goodbye to Democratic control of the Senate. And to Chuckie Schumer’s erratic but regressive leadership of the other 99 Conscript Parents. We just wish there were more Democrats and Republicans actually leaving the place. People like Murkowski and Romney and Collins who hate liberty as much as Schumer and Feinstein and Warren.
But they can’t help but continue to exhibit a frankly unAmerican attitude as their era comes to an end: Democratic senators have introduced a bill to eliminate the Electoral College. While rhetoric about doing so is very common, we believe this may be the very first time they’ve gone so far as to actually introduce legislation to do so.
Apparently, pretend legislation, of course: eyewash. For one thing, there are only a few days left to supposedly debate and vote on this. And we suspect that more than 1 or 2 Democratic Senators (not just Manchin and Sinema, who are already unloved by their colleagues for spoiling other attempts to mess with the incoming administration and Congress) would not support it.
But at the same time, despite efforts to do end runs around the Electoral College, there is more needed than a majority vote (with the Veep) in the Senate to amend the Constitution. For good reason.
But again, never fear: in the 119th Congress, the Regressives will find lots of ways to show how much they hate not just the Constitution, the old America, but liberty itself. And again, some will wear red and others will wear blue.

Goodbye and good riddence to Demo Senate control
