My oh my! The establishment media bemoans the fact that just seven months into the new Labour government in Whitehall, Nigel Farage’s “right-wing” Reform UK party overtook Labour to become the country’s most popular political party. According to a new poll, this horrible event is reflecting public discontent in Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the “left-wing” Labour government.
The poll, conducted by YouGov for the London Times, was published on Monday. It showed that if a general election were held “tomorrow” 25% of British voters would choose Reform, 24% would pick Labour, and 21% would vote for the Conservatives. The old Social Democrats/Liberals and the various nationalist parties would get to dice up the remaining 30% – or Brit voters are unsure of what to vote for.
Reform’s narrow lead in the poll – which surveyed 2,465 people over Feb. 2-3 – is within the margin of error. Scant consolation for either the Tories or Labour. So what is the Labour Party to do?
They shall “rescue” democracy, of course. How? Well, postponing local elections in Britain for a year! What a neat idea! Angela Rayner, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has called off elections. This will save Britain by stopping Reform UK from winning elections. Her exact words? “I’ve agreed to postpone local elections in East Sussex, and West Sussex, Essex, and Thurrock, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight, and Norfolk, and Suffolk.”I’ve also agreed for the postponement in Surrey, given the urgency of creating sustainable new unitary structures and to unlock devolution for this area… We are postponing elections for one year – from May 2025 to May 2026.”
What seems to be devolving in the UK is liberty.
Can you imagine? This action deprives 5.5 million British subjects (citizens) of their right to vote for the next year. Yep, this is how democracies work (not).
As you might expect, Nigel Farage and Reform UK are spitting mad. So are the Tories. Those worthies have accused Starmer of creating “Orwellian-sounding” structures which are “closer to her [sic] and closer to Whitehall.”
Sound familiar? Forget about legalities and all that blathering about the rights of the people. At this point, some of us wonder if the UK might be better off with a nice absolute monarchy presided over by King Charles the III – like his two namesakes tried to have.
But we see the same thing in the so-called democratic European Union. And we know that the Never-Trumpers and the Woke Democrats just wish they could have postponed the 2024 election for a year or more. Or for good.
Of course, having Charles III in power is the furtherest thing from Labour’s minds: they want all power, and they are part of the worldwide cabal we here at TPOL call “Transnational Progressivism” or “Transnational Socialism” (Tranzis for short). They want to get rid of the King, royalty, the nobility, the Lords. But also anything that smells like grassroots, self-determination, free-will, and liberty. And do it while disguising their actions as “democratic” and “for the people.”
It seems as virtually ALL nations – even the Fifty we call the United States – have a cancer that is killing liberty. And the body politic – or most of us.
And no ivermectin or other wonder drug seems to be available. The cancer, in the UK, most American States, the members of the EU, and so much else, must be rooted out by drastic surgery.
But does anyone have the courage to do so?

UK rejects monarchy, nobility – oh, and “democracy” to boot
