Among the many “achievements” of the recently seated Democrat House of Representatives are its attempts to further extend federal government control over our lives and deaths. Some of this is done in the guise of “better” health care, which is now viewed by politicians (not just Democrats or Tranzis) as the responsibility of government.
A major thrust by Pelosi and gang this year is the “Medicare for All Act” (HR 1384), which seems to comingle the worst of ObummerCare with “new and fresh” ideas which would have been very much welcomed (and were implemented) in the Dritte Reich in the 1930s.
An excellent and detailed evaluation of this is found at AAPS-on-line, by Dr. Marilyn Singleton, entitled “Thought Police – oops- Medicare for All.” (AAPS, the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons, is a generally pro-liberty organization which is an alternative to the AMA and the usual government-kissing medical societies.)
There are lots of things wrong with the bill (which is unlikely to pass the Senate, for now), including giving government-provided medical care a monopoly (no private insurance allowed) while paying for all medical care for everyone (no out of pocket expenses). But with no hint as to how to pay for this largess.
Beyond the obvious enslavement of everyone in health care, it also explicitly violates the ethical and religious rights of health-care providers (and taxpayers, if that matters). But it also brings in a lot of previously-failed attempts to increase the number of children that are killed (inside and, maybe, outside the womb) and to encourage the more rapid death of “unsatisfactory life condition” people, like the elderly, those with severe medical problems (especially with pain issues), and disabled persons.
Admittedly, the so-called opioid epidemic seems to be winnowing the population pretty good, and at an increasing rate. And 60 million dead children in less than 50 years (since Roe v Wade) is a pretty impressive track record (for serial killers).
But unlikely as this ghastly bill is to pass in 2019 – or even 2020, we can expect more attempts by Tranzis. By this, I mean members of both the Democratic and Republican Parties, regardless of “wing.” They will try to push more and more government control, and less and less liberty in matters of personal choice. They will try to run over (however gently or roughshod) our religious, moral, and ethical beliefs. They will try to keep us from doing anything that they don’t like, fear, or think threatens anyone – even ourselves.
Of course, all for the “good of the people,” or for “the children” or for “safety’s sake.” Don’t you feel special?
Indeed, we are seeing these attempts on a state level almost daily.
More and more mandates on such matters as vaccination of children, manmade global warming, and automobiles. More and more efforts to crack down (legally or not) on social media postings and education, and so much more. We see the loss of liberty sought greatly (and without much let-up) by our neighbors and people “in high places.” Why? They seem either to fear that their neighbors might have some liberty to live their own lines, or because they lust after control of others.
And all done in the name of “freedom,” or “liberty” or “for the people.” All done because the government is apparently our only hope for survival. Clearly not individual survival, but survival as a species, or at least a group. The insanity is obvious. No other human institution has ever had anything close to the ability to destroy huge numbers of humans, and even (in modern times) perhaps destroy the entire race here on earth. Especially not organizations with the disregard for human life – and even the bloodlust of humans who rule over others.
And if we don’t watch carefully, we will wake up morning after morning to find our lives made more miserable. Our freedoms gone. Our families and our neighbors twisted and warped into monsters who cheerfully report us to Big Brother.
More than ever, we must take control once more of our own lives and fortunes. We must end governments’ control of our futures.
