Mainsteam Media continues to portray The Donald as all sorts of evil, including much that he is definitely not guilty of, while mostly ignoring his real evils.
The list is long: the Never-Trumpers (Dem, GOP, and whatever) claim that he is homophobic, racist, misogynist, anti-immigrant, a militaristic warmonger, and a serial abuser of women. The list could go on.
At the same time, we hear little, or almost nothing, about many of his serious character defects, including his inability to keep his pants zipped, his constant lies, his treatment of his own subordinates, and his boastfulness. His checklist of both “serious” and “venal” sins seems to get filled repeatedly.
He definitely is both entertaining and a master at misdirection. He generates anger, fear, and uncertainty among both his political enemies and those considered enemies of the nation. And he very definitely has a massive following, which translates (as Nancy Pelosi repeatedly states) to numbers. Votes. Power.
Today, I want to talk about one of the recent (and repetitious) claims.
He twittered an attack on “The Squad” this weekend. Those are the four “progressive” (socialist/communist/tranzi regressive) freshmen congresscritturs that have made it clear that they respect neither the office nor the occupant of the office of President. He told them to go back to “the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came.” This, we are told, is him telling them to go back to the foreign countries that they supposedly (according to the media and other screams of outrage) came from. This demonstrates he is “racist” as well as stupid, since two of the four are born in this country (the Fifty States). And of course further demonstrates his hatred of immigrants.
I’d suggest a slightly different interpretation. I do this not so much to support/defend Trump as to oppose these four women and those who support them.
These four come from New York (Brooklyn), Massachusetts, Michigan, and Minnesota. I don’t know exactly where in the Blue State and People’s Republic of Mass the one comes from, but I am fairly certain that the Michigan woman comes from the Detroit area, and the Minnesotan from the Twin Cities – probably Minneapolis itself. So THESE are the places that these women come from: not where they were born, or even where they grew up, but the districts which they (theoretically) represent in Congress.
Each and every one of these places: Brooklyn, Massachusetts’ urban areas, the greater Detroit area, and the Twin Cities, very much deserves Trump’s accusation of being “totally broken and crime-infested.” There is no question: these are some of the worst locales (“places”) in the Fifty States. Not that don’t have plenty of competition: Chicago, New Orleans, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia all are in the running.
The rest of the Fifty States indeed ought to question why women from these districts have any business at all lecturing the rest of the formerly United States about what to do to fix our society, economy, education system, and political problems. Indeed, many of us flat-out reject what they say. About anything.
Notice I have not yet pointed out an essential and basic fact. Each of the Fifty States is indeed a “country.” We are (or were) a federal union, even if now amalgamated into an imperial system which is both disgusting and unsustainable. (I for one am grateful: I do not believe that my homeland, South Dakota, is anything close to perfect, but I am grateful not to have to be a citizen of any of their four States, or any like them (such as California, Illinois, or even Colorado). Yes, I am an American, but I am also a South Dakotan.)
And the last time I checked, not all these women are members of some “minority race.” One is, I understand, black. One is “Hispanic” (or Latinx or whatever they want to call themselves now). Two are, I hear, Muslim. Hispanic, despite claims otherwise, is NOT “a race” – there are Hispanic people who are Caucasian, who are black (Negro), who are AmerInd, and even who are Asian. And neither are Muslims members of a “race.” Even if “Arab” is a race (it is not, in my opinion), Islam is a multiracial religion (not unlike so-called Christianity or Buddhism).
So these never-Trumpers can’t even get their insults right. Trump may be anti-immigrant, but certainly not racist. As their own pet black and other minority “leaders” once believed, when they honored Trump (as a businessman, not a politician) for his help to minority communities, especially black and other communities in New York City.
But is he really “anti-immigrant?” Funny, ‘cause he married one. He had appointed many others to political office. While he may be opposed to “illegal immigrants” (border-jumpers) there is no evidence that he is any more “anti-immigrant” that the last squatter in the White House.
So why don’t they attack Trump based on his other faults? I think in most cases it is because (a) they are guilty of most of the same things they could truthfully accuse him of, and (b) they are pandering to the sponsors/controllers, and the most extreme and emotional of their followers and supporters. Not just the social justice warriors, but the Democratic leadership and their political allies. From wardheelers and local political bosses right up to Ms. Pelosi and her staffers – and the mainstream media, Hollywood, Silicon Valley, Wall Street, and the EU.
And bad as Trump is, that group is worse. By far. Until we can get rid of mandatory human government here in the Fifty States, we don’t want that kind of people coming to power. Not because of their race (real or not), their “national origin,” or their religion (well, except that most of them worship the state), or color or sex/gender/preference. Because of their politics. Because they are controllers. Enemies of liberty and freedom.
“Because they are controllers. Enemies of liberty and freedom”: The lord and god Trump fill that very well.
