In his novel 1984, Orwell’s Ingsoc had the Daily Hate. This was a period where emotionalism was whipped up by the people’s puppeteers, against whomever was the enemy at home and abroad. Which of course encouraged abject obedience, mind-numbing repetition, loyalty to their masters, and more.
Today, in the Biden regime, Uncle Joe himself seems to be encouraging not just emotionalism about every issue, but a complete lack of facts, consistency, and logic.
I call it the Daily Fear, but we could call it the Daily Threat, or the Daily Specter, or just plain stupid.
A few weeks ago, he reported that the “Intelligence Community” has stated that the greatest threat to these Fifty States (and our world empire) is “white supremacy.” Then Uncle Joe told us, no, the Joint Chiefs of Staff say that “global warming” is the greatest threat. But a few days later, one of his stooges warns us that China (followed by Russia) is the worst threat.
Now maybe we are just playing word games, but does this really make sense?
Only, at least to me, if the purpose of these pronouncements is to confuse people, divide people (to continue to conquer them), and at the same time, cater to his supporters and puppetmasters.
We all have read the truism, “war is the health of the state.” Perhaps the root of that is generating fear – for government feeds on fear, and war is just one way of generating fear. Ingsoc knew that their Daily Hate was highly emotional and served to unify the people in their obedience of the regime, but the tool most used was that of fear.
As we have seen in the last year-plus, and in the decades before that. Even while FDR proclaimed freedom from fear, he was PROMOTING fear and using it to help force compliance and increase the slavish support he craved and needed. Then he used fear of the Japanese Empire, and once war actually started, fear of the National Socialists of Germany. Truman and Eisenhower pushed fear of Communism, JFK did that AND fear of nuclear war. LBJ was a master at that, including fear of the very people he supposedly championed: black Americans.
Has it really changed under the ten presidents since them? Probably not – and again, all of these “greatest threats” that Biden and his gang are pushing have been important in the eyes of politicians and the deluded multitudes here in the Fifty States for 30+ years.
Of course, the media – even the talking heads of conservative talk radio – concentrate on Biden’s perceived confusion, memory problems, and more. After all, “global warming” is now politically-incorrect: it is “climate change.” And we already saw how the “liberal” elites beat on Trump for being less-than-nice to China: so why put them ahead of Russia? Only Biden knows – and he may not.
All of this is a warning to us: don’t believe people who are politicians, pretending to care for us, or who want more power (like bureaucrats) and money (like military leaders and union leaders).
And never let your emotions run away from you. Stay Calm, and Verify the Truth!
