California looks to increase rewards for those escaping from the State

It seems that every few days, we read another story from California. Stories about new regulatory requirements, new laws, new tyranny, new attacks on the family, business, and freedom. Every one of these makes it more beneficial to those who vote with their feet to Nevada, Texas, even Colorado and elsewhere.

The latest? A State Assembly-thug is proposing a law that would require parents of students at schools to disclose TO THE SCHOOL how many and what kind of guns and how they are stored in the home. According to Courthouse News, the “justification” for this is that most (68%) school shootings are done by students who take guns from home. The law would also allow warrantless searches of students’ property (that is, cars, bikes, backpacks, briefcases) on school property by the school – not just ALLOW but REQUIRE.

This goes along with recent moves by California’s tyrants in Sacramento and numerous cities and towns to push for more control – together with more taxes and fees.

Just a few days ago, San Jose supposedly became the first city in the States to require gunowners to have liability insurance for their guns, according to 8000news.com. Now, while it might be wise for homeowners policies to include things like getting broken into and shooting the invader, this again shows the hatred and fear that many Californians have – and the insanity of thinking that laws will do anything to stem gun violence. Especially given the laws that California has stopped enforcing in recent years.

California’s draconian “anti-cancer” law (Prop 65) enforcement also just notched up, as well. California has long treated ALL wood dust (sawdust and what you get when you saw or sand a piece of wood) as a carcinogen. But now new environmental regulations have been promulgated. The permissible exposure level (PEL) for employees of business is being reduced by 50 to 60 percent (according to Safe At Work CA, an industry site. So employers must spend millions or billions to collect more of the fine dust, train and warn employees and visitors and customers about the dangers of breathing wood dust, and much more.

Especially Western Red Cedar dust. The exposure was cut from 2.5 mg per cubic meter of air to 0.5 mg – an 80% cut – not for cancer concern entirely: it supposedly causes “occupational asthma.” That is interesting as WRC is both popular and a major product of the Pacific Northwest, which feeds the lumber to California.

Hmmm – payback?

As may be, besides all the questions this raises, these sorts of laws are good indicators of why so many Californians are (a) abandoning the State for better living elsewhere, or (b) just growing more and more willing to break the laws again and again and again.

Not to consider that California plans to DOUBLE its taxes in the next few years – even though the Universal Health Care law is currently dead in Sacramento. (I understand enough Democrats thought it was either a bad idea or didn’t go far enough – and killed it.)

But honestly, most western States – even Oregon and Washington, woke as they are – do not WANT Californian refugees racing into their towns and cities. Too many bring their weird (and evil) political ideas of tyranny, nanny-hood, and “there MUST be a law” with them. For every Mama Liberty fleeing to more liberty in Wyoming, there are four or five people who want to turn their new homes in Colorado or Wyoming or Montana or even New Mexico into evil replicas of their lost homeland.

The first item, above, makes it clear that more and more Californian parents pulling their children out of the government-ruined, theft-funded schools have the right idea. (Coupled with mask mandates, kindergarten-level sexual brainwashing, and more, of course.)

Those who have to remain in California need our prayers, our encouragement, and our teaching them that a life of pretty beaches and lovely mountains is not worth the accompanying life of serfdom under Newsom and his confederates and successors.
