On Monday, 22 AUG 2022, Dr. Anthony Fauci announced he is resigning (“retiring”) effective 31 DEC 2022. (At least according to Tom Woods and NPR. CNN didn’t seem (as of 2300 hrs ET) fit to publish it.)

Various cheers could be heard over the internet. Of course (would you expect anything different?) the various bureaucrats and Uncle Joe are slobbering all over him, and NPR is clearly writing up the brief for the Pope to canonize him – maybe even before he dies. The “non-religious” types have already done much to deify him: would Augustus benefited as much as the Faucet?

It is the end of an era: an era in which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were originally hailed as one part of the FedGov which seemed to work pretty well – and which seemed to benefit the entire world! (Certainly viewed as more competent than WHO.) An era of continuous decline in efficiency, effectiveness, and most especially truthfulness: the last four decades have seen the conversion of “science” from a professional discipline into a false religion built on personalities, emotion, and lies.

Which means that Faucet’s departure will not change much at all. The CDC and his particular niche(s) in that bureaucratic jungle will continue to fulfill his legacy. And as a result, people will continue to die needlessly prematurely. And suffer more and more while doing so – and while chaffing under the tyranny which people like him support, instigate, and glory in.

His legacy is already starting to metastasize, as we are told by CDC (countermanding a previous countermanding of “guidance” back in June) that we should wear masks around monkeypox victims and their homes and workplaces to avoid catching the currently-hyped “dread disease.” At least this time, some people (even some more politicians!) are taking the CDC seriously. That is, pointing out the CDC’s stupidity and inability to reason and understand – and report – the truth about diseases.

No, having The Faucet go away into an undeservedly wealthy retirement will not make “public health” any less of a joke than it has become in the last 40 or so years. Sadly, government agencies will continue to define “public” as whatever is best for the powers that be and their Tranzi agenda. People? You can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs. Especially human eggs.

Again, we see this in the monkeypox scare. We can expect to see yet another cycle of COVID-19 fear and panic – perhaps already developing. And there will be more pandemics touted to promote more and more control, more and more restrictions.

In the long term, the constant pratting about dire consequences will create a “cry wolf” situation in which more and more people ignore the warnings and there is finally a real, massive-killing disease out of China or India or Indonesia or Africa, and the precautions will come too little, too late. And there will be a massive die-off of humans.

Which may be what these enemies of liberty (and humans) want.
