We recently discussed how one MSM source is pushing an attempt to replace the US Constitution. It was another example of how media and other enemies of liberty are ramping up their attacks.

That is hardly the only way in which the foundations of American society are being attacked – one definition we use for “culture war.” Again, let us briefly restate: flawed though many American institutions are, they are generally much to be preferred over what the Woke, regressives enemies of liberty would impose to replace them. The culture war is a concerted effort, both violent and non-violent, to overthrow American foundations so that they can be replaced with new footings. Footings which seem to be generally opposed to liberty, self-government, and personal responsibility.

So what else?

Here are a few other examples of how the MSM is spearheading attacks against the fundamentals of American society.

The long propaganda war spouting the religion of manmade climate change continues. Now called “climate collapse” with even more extreme rhetoric (example: “the seas are boiling!”), this concept seems to have the purpose (on the part of those spouting it) of attacking the free market and the corruption labelled “capitalism” by Marx, in order to substitute a command economy in which personal economic choices are highly limited. Or prohibited!

But, Nathan, you sputter! How can you call that a religion? It goes along with all the current popular religions, doesn’t it?

Hardly. First it elevates theories and ideas to rigid dogma, which must be at least practiced, if not believed in. But it seeks to introduce and indoctrinate people into full belief. It has its own gods, its own prophets, its own rituals and priests (Algore and Greta, among others), and even its own martyrs and heretics. (Those who do not fully believe that every day demonstrates worldwide climate catastrophe must be found and cancelled.)

Again, a culture war which seems to be heating up even faster than the temperatures in Texas!

But lets move on.

Religion – particularly the “christian religion” – has long been a point of attack for the social justice warriors and similar philosophies.

A recent example of this is the reporting and commentary on an event onboard an airline a few weeks back. MSN reported that “Christians spark debate after hijacking plane with religious singalong.”

What a mental picture that paints! All these religionists distracting the stewardesses while a select commando group storms into the cockpit, bearing airline cutlery and hidden guitar strings to overwhelm the pilots and engineer and guide the now-captive airplane to… I dunno. Rome? Salt Lake City? Canterbury? Hmmm. Indeed, hmmm for hymns!

The language in the headline is inflammatory: singing “gospel songs” – even with guitar accompaniment – is far, far from “hijacking a plane.” It is obvious the objective of the story and how it is written was accomplished: a shocking 79 percent of readers who completed a brief survey were “not comfortable at all” with “people publicly expressing their religious beliefs on an airplane.”

To paraphrase a cop arresting a person praying on a public sidewalk, “Y’all go do that at home or your church building. You don’t do that out here.”

That is why this is another form of culture war. Politically-incorrect religions must be driven into privacy: into hiding. And publicly expressing your religion is proof your religion is politically-incorrect! I understand that certain Roman regimes did that, 1700 years ago or more: literally out of sight underground. Even under the graves, or in them! And it worked so well. Apparently, a modification of that is underway in China today: except for twisted and watered down religions that seem to worship Glorious Leader as well as (or in place of) their ancestors or their god/gods, the old religions are driven to hiding in house basements and caves and dirty warehouses.

Yet the numbers of Christians and Muslims and Buddhists are all growing in China. While the overall population is peaking out!

Another culture war is found in the education of children. As the so-called public (government-ruined, theft-funded) schools push more and more for indoctrination into such features critical to society and its stability as gender-affirmation, transsexuals, free love, even pedophilia and satanism, the natural revulsion of man people (including parents, children, and even some teachers) is condemned as evil and unacceptable. And become excuses for even more pandering and promotion of “anything goes.” Fears, insecurity, and the stresses of growing up are magnified and then used as proof that the indoctrination must increase. And the powers (not “rights”) of parents and non-professionals be stolen away in the name of academic and personal freedom. Although summer vacation time has reduced some of this, can we not expect a rise in such conflicts with a new school year?

The last to discuss for now is the health-medical culture war, which also sees a rise in tensions and demands. More and more data is released to demonstrate that “follow the science” in 2020 and 2021 seemed to do little or nothing, and contrasting news report and “analysis” between 2020-21 and 2023 are leading more and more people to conclude the worst. Not just that it was a hoax, but that the purpose was to tear down society and kill off people! Vaccine data shows not only the fakery involved, but the malevolent reasons for it and the gullibility of a huge number of people.

Yet, we are again being terrorized (is that too strong a word) by reports of yet another COVID-19 flavor (excuse me, variety) which mandates a return to the very masking and distancing mandates now seemingly proven to have given a false sense of security and protection. Again, does not the motive seem to be to further damage an astonishingly bad economy and weak society? A culture war?

We lovers of liberty need to look not just at the threats, but who and why those threats are developing. We can’t fight symptoms and ignore the real disease in society.
