A recent news story tells of a Marine ordered off her Delta airline flight because she was wearing the teeshirt below – which a “flight attendant” (a steward, not a stewardess) said was “threatening.”
We are told, he said, ‘I don’t care about your service, and I don’t care about her service. The only way you’re going to get back on the plane is if you take it off right now.'”

Now, this lady Jarhead was more polite than many Marines I know – and modest. She didn’t just pull the shirt off there in the aircraft cabin and sit down in her seat in her bra. She instead left the aircraft and found and pulled on a sweatshirt to cover the teeshirt. And got back on. But it caused her to miss her connecting flight and therefore messed up her trip to visit her sister (another Marine).
Stupid, eh? How can this shirt be “threatening” as claimed? Is it the word “war” or is it the color of the letters? Is it the word “veteran” perhaps? (The comment the steward made makes us wonder.)
Oh! I know! It must be the dogtags! After all, why do soldiers and Marines wear dogtags? Primarily to identify their bodies if they are severely injured or dead: dogtags have name, ID number, religion, and blood type. But they are directly associated with combat: with fighting and dying and wounding and death. That to many people is frightening. And therefore could be construed in a warped mind as being “threatening.”
In this world of Woke social justice warriors and Woke multinational and transnational companies eager to push the New World Order and a world run by our betters, this may be shocking but no surprise. After all, it is not the substance that is important. It is the image.
Reality must be manipulated to present something that lets them be our nannies. And of course, they must be in total control.
The epidemic of veteran suicide is severe: thousands a year. Like the epidemic of young people committing suicide on Indian Reservations and in urban areas. It needs to be publicized and help made available. But worse still is the epidemic of stupidity – stupidity that kills other people.
As someone pointed out a while back, the insanity of public perceptions is a constant excuse for the most flagrant abuses of liberty. We have seen nonsense like this flight in schools for years. And of course, TSA (and the security contractors before that) have behaved abominably. I know of a person denied a flight because on their keychain they had a thumb-drive in the shape of an automatic pistol: all of two inches long. Another who was forced to give up the P-38 (a military can opener from the days of C rations) because it had a sharp edge on it!
Unless we fight back (as this Marine is doing) the stupidity will continue. Unless we educate people, they will remain idiots and become more idiotic!
Think on these things! Teach these things!
