Why learn about fascism? Whether it is Italian or Spanish or Argentine style (or even the German National Socialist variant), it is an enemy of liberty. We need to recognize it and encourage people to stop mislabeling anything and anyone that they don’t like as fascists or Nazis. And especially to examine those people whom they do like to see if perhaps they are exhibiting indications of fascism (belief and behavior).

– I have been asked to write an article about Fascism in the USA, and so I am.
— In my background, I have had detailed discussions with people who have lived under both Soviet Communism of the USSR and Fascism under the Nazi state during WWII. In my interviews with these people living under both systems, they all stated there was no difference in leadership. Both were repressive and controlling.
— As a former Intelligence Officer for our nation, I was able to be involved with an exchange between the USSR and the USA regarding Intelligence operations of both countries. The people who lived behind the iron curtain were not happy and resisted smiles and eye contact with one another. In my visits, I observed a lack of basic necessities of life and shortages of food in stores.
– The Social Democratic Parties of Europe in the early 1900s led to the evolution of the Nazi Party in Germany. [Note: the “social” refers to Socialism – not just Marxism, but other variants on socialism. The Social Democrats of Europe can trace their operations back to 1848 and before.]
— Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Austria all had forms of fascism via their Social Democratic parties that were growing in influence in each respective nation.
— Italy was introduced to fascism via Benito Mussolini. [Again, note that Benny had been a socialist for decades before he established the so-called Fascist Party, named for the ancient Roman symbol of government (the fasces), and practiced what he called “Corporatism.”
— Adolf Hitler was brought into the political system of Germany via the influence of Hindenburg. “In January (1933), President Hindenburg reluctantly appointed Hitler chancellor of Germany and asked him to form a coalition government.” (Time-Life Books, The New Order, Alexandria, Virginia, 1989, p 22) Hitler accepted the Chancellorship and began to remove President Hindenburg (he was aged and his mental acuity was lacking), and with the intention of being the next leader of Germany, for he wanted to turn the page. [Despite his reluctance, Hindenburg was compelled by the results of the highly corrupt national elections, which gave the NSDAP a majority in the Reichstag (German Parliament).]
— Hitler would mold fascism slightly differently than Mussolini and the other European nations with social democracies. [The best known of these was his intense antipathy to Jewish Germans, expanded to Jews in general.]
– The doctrines of Fascism in the USA
— God is displaced by fascism.
— There is the practice of Identity Politics.
— Censorship of news sources contrary to the leadership. [governmental (deep state) and political]
— Fascists do not like to be questioned and practice avoidance in answering questions.
— Fascism will lock up their political opponents.
— Fascism operates from a federal or central government; there is a loss of individual freedoms.
— In economics there is control of prices and production of goods within the nation.
— They are warmongers.
— They desire only one political party. [Their own, of course.]
— The importance of knowing and understanding the doctrine of fascism aids us in actually recognizing fascism in contrast to making an unwarranted or unsubstantiated accusation.
— For example, if we know the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church, we can recognize a faithful practicing Roman Catholic from a faithful member of the Baptist Church, especially if we know the doctrine of the Baptist Church as well. Each religious group has a doctrine they follow. Similarly, fascism has a doctrine that is accepted and believed [by its leaders and followers].
— Thus, if we know the doctrine of fascism, we can see and know the difference regarding the doctrine of a Capitalist nation or a Republic such as the USA.

[We can also see how a republic can morph into a fascist state, even while still practicing the forms (illusion) of a republic. And we can understand better how Woodrow Wilson’s “administrative state” established many of the concepts we consider “fascist” today.]
