This news story triggers all kinds of thoughts. (Okay, we know that “triggered” is a “trigger word” and probably banned in most social media. Our apologies for any offense!)
Newsbreak.com and The Hill published a story headlined “Early COVID-19 pandemic death toll much higher than official count – study.” It reads, in part:
The journal Science Advances found that more than 155,000 unrecognized additional deaths outside of hospitals between March 2020 and December 2021 likely went uncounted. This suggests that 15.6 percent of deaths went uncounted, as the official death toll during that time frame was more than 840,000.
Researchers said the estimated total number of COVID-19 deaths between that timeline was More than 995,000. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) established that the U.S. hit 1 million COVID-19 deaths in May 2022.
The study suggests that possible geographic and sociodemographic inequities contributed to coronavirus deaths not being part of the official death count.
“One prior study found that excess deaths attributed to non–COVID-19 causes were more common in counties with lower socioeconomic status, greater prevalence of preexisting health conditions, and a greater fraction of non-Hispanic Black residents,” researchers wrote.
This study and article seems to be pushing the standard propaganda line that COVID was a deadly menace. But at the same time, it is claiming that governments “overlooked” and didn’t count the deaths of 155,000 people in the United States in 2020? How is that again?
We recall a very different series of events.
For example, in Colorado, the CDPHE (Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment) kept changing the “cause of death” as determined by county coroners. And in AmerInd jurisdictions, where deaths due to domestic violence and suicide were counted as COVID fatalities.
The classic case was in Montezuma County (SW Colorado). A motorcyclist died in a traffic accident. Though wearing a helmet, he was literally beheaded. But CDPHE changed the cause of death to COVID-19. Probably because they collected a handsome stipend from the FedGov for every COVID death. Back then, there were dozens of examples of that, just from part of Colorado. If an autopsy “determined” that there were Beer Flu antibodies in the blood, well! That person had to be dead because they were killed by COVID.
Of course, the fact that the FedGov threw money like confetti at States that had deaths from COVID (further driving the nation into bankruptcy) had nothing to do with lies and playing stupid games.
We also know that one major cause of increased deaths is because “minor” medical treatment was deferred or even cancelled due to regulations about reducing exposure to COVID, and of course, lockdowns which prevented treatment and isolated people who, in many cases, just gave up living.
But this seems to push the idea of COVID being a horrific threat to people of all ages and all health conditions. Just like AIDS was (and is) treated like something that everyone has about the same probability of getting. Ignoring its direct link (99.5% of the time) to homosexual behavior. And just like people who hate our right to keep and bear arms refuse to accept that the murder rate in the nation is driven by what goes on in the inner cities, especially the areas with high numbers of unassimilated migrants and the areas of the “underclasses” (which we cannot call ghettos or barrios anymore if we want to be politically correct).
And like people (and politicians, too) get freaked out by fuel prices that have never been this high. At least not since… 2023! And at the same time, deny the obvious connection between spending billions of dollars pounding Iran and its direct impact on things like inflation and world trade, not just on oil and natural gas but on fertilizer and other critical materials.
The amount of lies that is blared from government agencies and mainstream media is incredible. (And for that matter, from almost any media!) The consequences? Shattering and ending lives prematurely.
And just as we find regarding health care and medical issues in general: denial and often suppression of information on treating cancer, for example. Or the recent news from Kentucky of the approaching passage of a law to give immunity to Monsanto and Bayer for harm from glyphosate, following The Donald’s invoking the Defense Production Act to promote domestic production (and use) of glyphosate-based pesticides.

Do the lies just keep getting compounded?
