Good morning! Though still very much under the weather, I hope to have several commentaries published this week. Here are several stories from recent days.
Elites? Gag. The WaPo claims that “love brought Oregon’s governor down” when he resigned, drowning in scandal, this week, just days into his fourth term. Garbage: it was CORRUPTION and DOUBLE-DEALING and ARROGANCE OF POWER that did that TO HIMSELF. Cohabiting with this scumbag politician in the governor’s mansion, his self-proclaimed “first lady” was STILL squatting on government land, wasn’t she? Morals DO matter: politicians who marry and divorce and remarry and do not take individual and personal relationships with each other have no moral sense, no ability to live up to their written or spoken word in anything. This scumbag should have been removed from office some time ago, and the legislature should have done so. But Oregon’s culture is damaged and contaminated, and obviously its people are weak and irresponsible. Of course, the elite think that they are beyond this sort of “morality.”
In the spirit of US News, the listing of the 25-most-dangerous large university campuses in the Fifty States (or crime-ridden campuses) is very revealing. Mama’s Note: Very interesting that most are on the east coast, and/or serious “gun free” states. The rate is many, MANY times higher than the violent crime rate almost anywhere else.
Nathan: Because of the insanity of gun bans, even in urban areas which already have some sort of severe limitation on gun ownership and carrying areas, the campuses are even more dangerous than the rest of the region. The refusal of politicians and administrators to accept this shows that they are the last people we want in charge of anything – especially the lives of large numbers of people. Many of these colleges are for the “elite” but they seem to be willing to throw their own away, as well as the peons.
What can be more elite than our media, in 2015? Really? ALERT – 4 American Journalists Dead Inside the US Within the Past 24 Hours. Scott sent this to me with a note, that it came with the subject: “Collective murders? First bankers, now journalists?” Scott comments: Seems someone didn’t pay attention. Journalists have long been murdered. (E.g., Danny Casolaro and Gary Webb.) And besides, these are “prominent” journalists with no real direct links or correlation to one another. The entire circumstances seem not to be at all connected. Good journalists (what few be left) are natural targets, and not every one has Superman as a boy-friend. Self-defense is a critical a skill for them as reasoning ability and a good memory: all of which seem to be lacking in most media types today.
Last week, one of those dead journalists was Bob Simons, killed in a traffic accident in New York City that made me think of the death of Diana Windsor in Paris years ago. Seventy-three and apparently in good health, the circumstances beg many questions. But the major one is, why would anyone off him? What would be gained? Was it a punishment for something he did not do or did do? A warning to others?
One final story about the elite: in this case, the “civil servants” who rule our daily (and hourly) lives. Citing the First Amendment, the Illinois governor has ended mandatory union dues for all public employees, whether they belong to a union or not. Of course, this has unions screaming mad, together with their Democratic and Tranzi comrades. It reminds me of the rhetoric I have been disgusted to read from South Dakota Democratic Party fanatics talking about how the GOP-introduced bill supposed to protect people’s religious freedoms from being run roughshod by state and local agencies for ANY reason is an extremist attack on liberty. The difference is that the GOP in some dim and vague way still recognizes (but does not act) on the idea that liberties are something that people have and includes freedom from government control – NOT that liberties are given by government and require taking something away from other people, including freedom.
The GOP will not understand (any more than Dem and other Tranzi politicians will) that liberty is the ESSENTIAL for society, including medical care and healthy lives. So the GOP in Congress has come up with this piece of garbage to “replace” ObummerCare, which will NOT solve anything except the dirty windows on the worthless lemon. Mama Liberty sums it up well: Totally ignoring the fact that a different frosting does not make a manure cake edible. None of them will ever consider just leaving people alone to make their own plans. That would require repealing bogus “laws” all the way back to the first meeting of the AMA, of course.
Islamic wars heated up this weekend, dragging more non-Muslims in. Egypt hit back Monday with airstrikes aimed at ISIS-affiliated jihadists in Libya who are believed to have beheaded more than a dozen Egyptian “Coptic” Christians. Egyptian F-16 jets took off in the early hours of Monday to bomb ISIS camps, training areas and weapons depots in Libya, the Egyptian military said. ‘Avenging Egyptian blood and punishing criminals and murderers is our right and duty,’ it said in a statement broadcast on state television.
Meanwhile, in Denmark three people have died and five police officers were wounded after terrorist attacks on a synagogue and a cultural centre, and a later police shootout in Copenhagen. A 55-year-old man (Omar Abdel Hamid El-Hussein) was killed and three police officers were wounded in the shooting attack at a cafe at the Krudttonden cultural centre on Saturday. … A young Jewish man died after being shot in the head outside Copenhagen’s main synagogue in Krystalgade. Two police officers were wounded in that attack. Hours later, police shot and killed a man near a train station. Police said video surveillance indicated the man was behind both shootings.” He was supposedly “Palestinian” and had sworn allegiance to the Caliph before the attacks. There seem to be more people in his cell. Of course, NO ONE was armed and able to defend themselves at the two locations, other than the cops who DID kill the guy and prevent more deaths.
A thousand and more miles to the south, Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has appealed for more US help in fighting the Islamist insurgency Boko Haram, describing the militants as a Caliphate cell within the country. The Nigerian claimed direct links for the first time between the Sunni radicals who have been waging a six-year insurgency in Nigeria and the ISIS group in Syria and Iraq.” At the same time, we have this news of the latest weekly Sunday terrorism in that nation: A teenage suicide bomber blew herself up at a crowded bus station in northeast Nigeria on Sunday, killing at least 16 and wounding 30 others. Most of the victims were children who had either been selling peanuts or begging for money at the time of the explosion. The bomber managed to get through the security check at the entrance to the bus station in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe state, and detonated herself. HERself. A young woman killing children all for the glory of Allah.
Scott shared this with me, reminding me of the Liberty Round Table (and many other’s boycott of air travel following TSA’s creation. Airlines Consider Requiring Proof of Vaccination for Domestic Air Travel Traveling by air may get even more complicated if major carrier airlines’ reported plan requiring passengers to be vaccinated come to fruition. After the increasing problem of unvaccinated individuals contracting and spreading [Who says they primarily vectored them?] communicable diseases, airlines hope to be a stopgap solution to preventing larger outbreaks. An inside source with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) suggests, “Multiple major carriers have begun discussing requiring vaccination records for all passengers before allowing them to board a flight.” The source FAA wouldn’t commit to a statement on whether other mass transit carriers, such as railroads or bus lines, would follow suit should the airlines implement this new tactic.
Mama’s Note: As with so many other things, there is good evidence to suggest that the whole vaccine thing is vastly misrepresented, quite possibly ineffective in most cases, and seriously dangerous in itself. Take a look at this and do some searching yourself.
Vaccine McCarthyism. What if the Vaccine Paradigm itself is Deliberately Flawed?
However, what if all of these individuals and their organizations, their shadow lobbying foundations and think tanks, are wrong? What if the vaccine paradigm itself is flawed? What if vaccines have never been soundly confirmed to be safe and effective? What if the CDC, vaccine manufacturers, and the leading vaccine advocates knew of these discrepancies and contradictions, yet intentionally ignored them against the public interests and the well being of the American population?
