In this case, Mark Zuckerberg and his minions at Facebook – apparently even if you don’t HAVE an account on Facebook!

According to the Daily Mail, not only is Big Bro Facebook watching you, they are maintaining a data file on you.

In addition, and bizarrely (“creepy” is what the Mail calls it), if you DO have a Facebook account, you can see what they have recorded about you.  If you dare.

I know that Mama Liberty and I (and many other people, including the Liberty Round Table) have been warning us all about this for years and years.  So this comes as no surprise to most of us. Knowing the opinion many people have of Zuckerberg himself, no doubt many of us feel a sense of vindication that the guy is such a creep.

The excuse is that they can better market to us, send more pointed (“focused”) advertising, and keep their service free.  Us enslaved, but the service is free!

Use this, from a mainstream media outlet (though British), to share with family and friends who can’t possibly think that 1984 is still with us, and that we are indeed in a Brave New World.

We all know better.

And we know that it will get worse, whether or not government is involved directly or not.  Do any of us have any serious doubts that Zuckerberg and Facebook will have any qualms at all about sharing anything and everything with government?  With ANY government – as long as they can point out that the “Courts made us do it.”

Given the increasing effort that Facebook, Twitter, and other social media are devoting to censoring people’s posts, the news being carried, and no doubt unfashionable color schemes, we need more and more people worried about complete loss of privacy, and what that means to our liberty.

A privatized police state is, if anything, worse than a completely government one.

Either kind is anathema, and deserves being staked, burned, and buried.

Mama’s Note: My socializing is done at the grocery store, hardware store, the gun club, library and occasionally the senior center here. I have no interest in farcebook, twitter or any of the rest of it. I don’t have a “smart phone” and never will. You have choices. Choose wisely. 🙂
