The bizarre behavior of the regulatory state seems to ramp up daily. The actions get more twisted, their impacts more severe, and the fallout more frustrating.
Consider Ontario (still, after Monday’s election, firmly in the Tranzi camp of blackface Trudeau). According to Global News, a dental hygienist has had his license to practice taken away. For the awful crime of treating his own wife. It appears that the Province and its professional associations and regulatory boards have a “zero tolerance” for dental care providers “sexually abusing” a patient: that includes any intercourse or “other sexual relations” with or without consent. Even with your spouse.
Worse, the idiots who enforced this insane law are gutless, fearful that they will be sued or tried and convicted of breaking a stupid law. Their cowardice is exceeded only by the fear and stupidity of an electorate who continues to put idiots into office. Who pass laws and allow regulations like this, demonstrating not just the evil but the stupidity of government.
In the US of A, you have to have 300 hours of training to be a member of the Gestapo, 500 hours to be a paramedic, 1,500 hours to cut hair. I live in North Carolina, the board that give out the permits have over 5,000 people enforcing the permits, plus each county has it’s enforcers.

Is it any wonder that more and more people just ignore the stupid regulations on things like hairdressing and barbering – and that the same time, the nanny-statists seek more and more professions to regulate?
