Look, I don’t LIKE Trump. He is a typical POTUS in his disregard of liberty, the Constitution, and mundane things like money and the day-to-day fedgov crimes. In addition, he is annoying, arrogant, boastful, immoral, and generally disgusting.
Which makes it more amazing. The never-Trumpers and especially the Democratic “leadership” and its gaggle of wannabe Massas (the 2020 candidates herd) make Trump look LESS intolerable, even reasonable and preferable. To any alternative that is even possible. Especially to their own bizarre version of the FedGov.
The latest example of this is Miz Hillary’s claim that Tulsi Gabbard and Jill Stein are “assets” (agents) of the Russians, just like The Donald himself is. That they are either working for Russia’s interests, or are pawns of Moscow. Puppets of Putin. Or so she says.
But this is far from a one-time stupidity. The growing hypocrisy of Democratic and never-Trump accusations against Trump and his administration is evident. More and more comes out about how the Bidens, the Clintons, and the Obamas acted both in power and while seeking power. Their claim of moral superiority over Trump, never strong, is now nothing more than a joke.
As many libertarians have pointed out, Trump has broken the law frequently. He violated the Constitution and continues to do so. But in that, how is he any different than any president in the last two centuries? And how is he any different than most every member of the Senate and House? And those chambers as a body?
If Tulsi Gabbard is a Russian asset, how does that differ from the Clintons as “assets” of Red China during their time in office? If Jill Stein is a Russian agent, what did that make Ralph Nader, Greenpeace, or others? If Trump is mentally unstable, what does that make Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden? If Trump needs to have Twitter taken away from him, why does that not apply to Mitt Romney with his fake Twitter account?
We are left with the conclusion that it is only politics and their hatred for Trump that “justifies” these actions against him. Of course, even that doesn’t explain the attacks on Gabbard and Stein: can we chalk that up to mental illness of the part of Hillary Clinton?
All they seem to be doing is making Trump more tolerable to the American people. Which doesn’t make any more sense, at least not to me. So what gives? If it doesn’t matter if Trump wins next year, then why are they spending so much time and effort to seem to oppose him? Is it merely for show? Or because they have lost control of their own ranks – especially the more extreme elements like the Squad and the Sanderistas. Or because they are finally the irrational mental cases that the Democrats have seemed to be for the last several decades.
I don’t know. Do you?
There is so much infighting with in the DINO’s, it will make sure that Trump gets re elected. BUT maybe that is what they want. Another point: with all this distraction; I would like to know what the frell is really going on
