So, we continue to see the growing numbers of ill and death from Beer Flu. We hear about people dying in strange ways in strange places. We worry about earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, blizzards and floods, droughts and tornadoes.

All these things are dangerous, all these things pose threats to many people. And often (as in Tennessee recently with the tornado), people die when we wish they wouldn’t.

But…

… if we are not careful, these things all distract us from what is the greatest, most real, immoral, constant and deadly threat to human life and to the lives, peace, and prosperity of each of us. And our families, our friends, our customers and our employees and bosses. And something which is NOT a natural phenomena but done by some humans to others.

Government. Especially for those of us in the Fifty States. (Admittedly, some worse than others.)

Consider some of these recent news stories:

In California, a legislator wants to micromanage retail stores and make it illegal to segregate girls’ and boys’ toys, clothing, and personal care items. This is, we are told, necessary to prevent discrimination, sexism, and bias, and allow consumers to compare products and value more.

In Virginia, a legislative committee wants to put in traffic cameras to be used to convict and fine people for going too fast in their cars by a mandatory presumption of guilt if a machine finds them guilty. No judge, no right of self-defense, and “what’s a jury?” It seems, according to a story, that you are presumed guilt and can have no chance to claim otherwise. The state needs the money too much for such niceties.

In Wisconsin, it is reported that a state “Guidance and Policies” mandates that children of any age can transition to a different “gender identity” at (government-run, tax-funded) school, by changing their name and pronouns – and clothing and the toilet they use – without parental notice and consent.

In California, again, we learn that the California Teachers Association wants to not only continue to give students (at government-run, tax-funded schools) contraceptives and abortions without telling the parents, they also want to give students drugs and chemicals so the student can change their “gender” – and of course without telling the child’s parents.

In a dozen countries in Africa, food and cash crops are being destroyed by hordes of locusts. Which are also threatening airliners. Because the UN and various UN and Western surrogates are pushing nonsense about “sustainable agriculture” that doesn’t allow use of pesticides and modern Western techniques of farming and pest control.

In South Carolina, a mother was arrested and charged with child abuse for letting her nine-year-old girl play in a nearby park while she was at work.

The novel coronavirus (Beer Flu) pandemic not just offers us dozens of examples of how bad government can be – but it gives those governments the opportunities to DO MORE EVIL in the name of “doing good.”

An example is the total lockdown of the Kingdom of Spain, courtesy of its socialist king and ministers. Here is video of the tanks rolling into Madrid – we are back to the era of Franco. Individual people are cogs to be discarded as needed, for the good of the “nation” or (in American style) “We, The People.”

In San Francisco and six other Bay Area counties in California, 6.7 million people have been ordered to “shelter in place” – the technical (and politically correct) term for house arrest and quarantine. They must remain at home for the indefinite future: to be enforced by police. Supposedly to prevent spread of Beer Flu and therefore deaths. (But what happens when the police find lawbreakers who do not behave docilely? Put them in the slammer, with hundreds of others and poor conditions – sure to be a breeding place for the virus? Or just go ahead and use government’s normal solution: shoot them. Either to wound (thereby straining the medical profession more) or just kill – doing the very thing this stupid action is supposedly preventing?

In Colorado, the mad governor continues to have a flood of wonderful “nanny government” ideas: he’s closed the schools, he’s closed all the ski areas. Now he’s closing all the bars and forbidding people to eat in restaurants. (They have to carry out or have delivery.) He’s closed the state offices – state employees have to work out of their homes. And they can’t travel to do their work. Work which is SUPPOSEDLY (according to government) essential for the health and well-being of the people of the State. And he is urging (and no doubt planning to mandate) that people NOT travel over the mountains on I-70 and US-50, the two major routes connecting the Front Range with the Western Slope. Why? Because the major areas of infection in Colorado are the ski resorts along I-70 and US-50, where the jetsetting elites have brought the novel coronavirus, no doubt from the Italian Alps ski resorts, the gambling halls of Macao, and other places.

Government, as usual, is demonstrating its incompetence. And not just incompetence, but its evil. And using anything, as always, as an excuse to tighten the screws on our liberties, our prosperity, and our families and businesses.
