Corruption unlimited – DOJ and FBI

Back in the 1980s, it took decades for the evils of J. Edgar Hoover to be revealed. And oddly enough (from the point of view of so-called conservatives and right-leaning libertarians (minarchists, at least), one of the least corrupt of US Attorney Generals during the 20th Century may have been Bobby Kennedy. Did the FBI and DOJ become more and more like their enemies (the mob, or Mafia) or was it the other way around?

All questions of historical interest, but which have implications in 2022.

Today, the modern Federal Bureau of Investigation: the Feebs; is being revealed almost daily as the corrupt tool of power and tyranny that (as many have noted) it has always been. And the Department of Justice – not just the Attorney General but its entire leadership, senior bureaucracy, and many of its “special agents” (oh, so special!) are venal, arrogant, often-clueless, and bullying people who prey on other criminals but more and more on political opponents of the deep state.

And normal people and their businesses and institutions.

Consider: More than 12 pro-life centers have been vandalized or destroyed by pro-abortion group Jane’s Revenge. Yet, no one has been charged with a crime. “It’s under investigation.” But when 11 people protested at a Tennessee abortion clinic, DOJ quickly indicted them for violating the FACE (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances) Act, (FACE prohibits blocking access to any abortion facility, which they did by sitting in a hallway leading to the entrance, singing hymns, reading the Bible and praying. Photos show that the protesting Bible readers were NOT actually blocking the hallway.) If convicted, some of the abortion protesters could do years in prison.

Is it horrible to wonder if more followers of Christ Jesus are thrown into jail for their actions, it  might create more love and obedience to the Lord’s teachings in them, their families, and their congregations? And more opportunity to teach to those who are in Satan’s thrall? AND those in the clutches (physical and mental) of human government, one of Satan’s best tools?

The DOJ also declined to enforce the law against protesting outside a Supreme Court justice’s home, and it recently arrested another pro-life activist under the FACE Act for an incident at a Philadelphia abortion clinic when he shoved a man who was verbally abusing his 12-year-old son. (We commented on that a while back: it took an massively-armed FBI platoon to surround this guy’s rural home and arrest him.)

It isn’t just the fuss over abortion that shows the FBI’s illegitimate behavior. Consider also the singular lack of arrests of BLM activists and AntiFa, Occupy, and other rioters, looters, and violent offenders, versus the massive round-up of January 6th protestors/rioters and their show trials.

Like the FBI, the DOJ’s corruption and other evils have reached lows that no one could have imagined back in the 1930s or 1970s. It has taken generations to produce this level of political corruption – and we have to ask if the political corruption is matched by financial corruption – like the massive millions of dollars “liberated” by the FBI from safe-deposit boxes in that immoral, illegal, and unconstitutional forfeiture/seizure – or just plain bribery and peculation. All in the interests of their so-called progressive masters – who also apparently control Joe Biden.

Under Uncle Joe and Garland, the DOJ’s level of political toadying, corruption, and degree of enmity towards liberty and justice has exceeded even that found under LBJ and Nixon, Clinton, and Obama. These government agencies will continue to “go rogue” (which it really is NOT) more and more until they are finally reined in – if not totally eliminated – by the people of these States.

Regarding Biden’s pardon of “simple possession” that it is more hype than truth: More than 6,500 individuals with prior convictions for simple marijuana possession will be impacted by Biden’s drug-related pardons announced on Thursday, according to a White House official.

Imagine how we are emptying the prisons!  6500 people! Wow!

BUT at the same time, consider that this action to effectively decriminalize cannabis on the federal level will ALSO release thousands of government agents from the war on marijuana to go after other crimes. Other drugs. For example, consider the battle on unpasteurized (raw) milk sellers. In slo-mo for a decade, it seems to be picking up again. Just as prohibition’s end freed up Revenooers to let them go after evil weed, so this may result in more attacks on liberty.

Lots of people read the Bible, sing hymns, and pray.

And among those people, opinions on subjects including but not limited to abortion, vary.

Does one’s opinion on abortion determine whether one is “a follower of Jesus Christ?”

I’ve personally been forced to a very high degree of tolerance where religious opinions are concerned. For example, 99% of “Christian” churches seem to reject the religion taught by Christ (Judaism) and to instead have adopted the Pauline heresy which turned Jesus into a pagan deity. Since I’m unwilling to become a “follower of Jesus Christ” myself to the extent of keeping the Mosaic Law as he commanded (for one thing, I like pork way too much), and since I’ve always been inclined to paganism, I find the Pauline heresy welcoming and convenient, but I hesitate to pretend that it represents “Christianity.”

You are right, Tom, about opinions/beliefs varying. As we both know, Tom, we do not agree on what constitutes following God. (Although I point out that it was (in Acts) Peter who had the vision that set aside the entire idea of kosher, and not Paul.)

As for the position on abortion and following God – No, an opinion (one way or another) does not determine whether they are a follower of Jesus Christ. Those people are not my servants, but God’s – and He will decide, not me.

I myself find both the Tanakh and the New Testament condemn abortion. But it is just another sin: one more missing the mark, and therefore something to be forgiven for if we are wrong about it. But no greater or lesser than any other sin. If God is willing to forgive those who murder (children and adults), who rape others, who steal (even out of safe deposit boxes), then forgiveness is offered to those who support – and practice – abortion. Although it may be unpalatable to me (and you), forgiveness can cover such sins as exercising tyranny over others, attacking people, denying free speech to others, or supporting human government! We all will answer, directly or through the Savior/Messiah.

But the issue over whether christians (or Jews) agree or disagree on abortion itself is secondary in this commentary to the actions (or lack of actions) of the FBI and DOJ. Action/inaction which demonstrates their corruption and tyrannical behavior. It would be just as wrong if they were treating pro-choice folks that way, wouldn’t it?

      Just more to think about!

Not to get too deep into theology here, but I tend to discount post-Jesus portrayals of Peter as likely having been … creatively interpreted … by the Pauline cult. It’s pretty obvious even as written that James and Peter said ixnay on the whole “Gentiles don’t have to keep the Law” controversy, after which Paul went back out, pretended he’d gotten their agreement, and just continued to paganize/Romanize “Christianity” abroad while it continued on in its original Judaic form in Jerusalem.
