Is government just blind (willfully or not)? Or is it just that government is incapable of telling the truth? Are lies essential to government? Lets look at just one example.
Dr. John Lott at the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) has a rather interesting new report. Among other things, the report says there have been “massive errors” in the FBI’s reports on attempted mass murderers. The report is quite damning of the once-respected agency.
Should we be surprised that the Feebes seem to have a strong bias against counting attacks that were stopped by armed citizens? Especially given what the FBI has been doing in recent years – and even more in recent weeks? Whatever trust people still have in the FBI is very much misplaced.
Dr. Lott identified 360 “active shooter incidents” between 2014-2021. He admits he probably missed several more which took place. In the data available, he found 124 times when an ordinary armed private citizen stopped the attacks. Yet, during that same time period, the Feebes identified only 252 active shooter incidents. And they could only find 11 examples that were stopped by armed citizens. Imagine that!
Not only that: the bias of the federal employees is clear in other ways. (The bias is natural: the FBI currently are minions of Uncle Joe and his lackey Garland. (Of course, maybe Garland is actually one of the guiding voices to the increasingly mentally-challenged Uncle Joe, not the other way around.))
In some incidents, the FBI classified armed members of a congregation as security guards rather than as armed citizens. Excuse me? Is not a security guard a paid position? Yet, these armed men and women who stopped killers and would-be killers were not paid to attend services. Any more than the six or eight habitually-armed men in my own small congregation of forty are.
Those “nuances” are significant. The bottom line? Lott found that “some 34% of the active shooter incidents were stopped by armed citizens, not the 4% cited by the FBl.” And not only that! The numbers are climbing: In 2021, Lot’s report states it is at least 49.1%. And when you exclude gun-free zones, it averaged over 50%. (The subject of obeying stupid laws and signage about “gun-free zones” needs to be discussed in much more detail.)
Why is this important? Because as Lott’s report documents extensively, the bogus FBI reports are often republished as gospel truth by the Mainstream Media. And by scumbag politicians intent on disarming Americans.
In other words, the FBI is lying its head off. And the MSM is reporting the lies as sworn government truth. And politicians are whipping up their followers and votes using the lies.
And there is more: Lott pointed out that he excluded another 24 cases. He did not count those because the armed civilians stopped armed attacks before the murderer fired his gun. And since such stories seldom make the MSM news publications, much less the headlines, I suspect there are more.
But the point of this column is more than just the FBI and its attitude (hatred and fear) of armed Americans. It is about how government is either blind (if we are to give even a modicum of doubt to them) to reality. OR just plain lies about anything and everything because it can and because it serves the interest of more government.

The FBI records seem to be tainted by social theory. The data separates mass murders with an indication of gang combat or robbery. I suspect that gangs can make use of the “controllable”:crazy. If a “wacko” shoots up a bar, or pool hall or an auditorium in a school in another gang’s territory, then it is a “gang hit” and different from a “mass shooting”. It seems that “gangs” may have use for the occasional mass murderer if they are in a challenged position. If the associates of the shooter help themselves to souvineirs then it is an armed robbery. The depredations of these people are counted differently due to the gang or robbery aspect. The savage behavior of such people is classed as gang activity unlike the same behavior conducted by an individual without the gang affiliation. More Blacks and Hispanics participate in gang activity leading to the fiction that mass shooters are White. Gangs have some pretty unsavory members whose activity is “hidden” under the gang category. Even in the movie series, “The Godfather”, there were “hit-men” or “button-men” who were useful but not part of the “organization”. The FBI data maintains a fiction by counting murder and brutality in a separate category if there is a trace of gang activity or robbery. All that brutality disappears from the ggovernment’s mass murder or “violence” category. The resulting numbers are a fiction.
