Facing a final judgment – monster in human form dies

We must recognize that the death toll of the 20th century is one of the stains on our so-called civilization, and upon the people and institutions of the Fifty States. Acts of commission and omission, especially by government officials, are tainted – indeed, blackened – by the deaths that they have caused, allowed, and even encouraged. From boarding school deaths and the victims of the “Spanish flu” to the needless involvement in WW1 and the planned and secretive involvement in WW2 and all the wars since, government has much to answer for.

This month, a medical doctor in Philadelphia remind us that it is not just government officials – those in power, or “serial killers” skulking through the streets that are to blame for innocent blood shed, for lives tragically shortened by government action, inaction, and stupidity.

Kermit Gosnell is dead. In 2013 he was convicted merely of killing three newborn infants, victims of “botched” abortions of children of his patients. A wicked judge dismissed four of the murder charges, although the evidence was obvious that Gosnell and his staff had killed tens of thousands of infants, both unborn by “legal” and “illegal” abortions, but hundreds by what he called a “snip.” Cutting their spinal cord after the child was born. As well as killing multiple women by his abominably-poor medical practices in his apparently popular abortion mill in inner-city Philadelphia.

There are many reasons given for why some charges were dismissed and other charges were never made. Just as there were reasons given for why the national, State, and regional mainstream media so poorly covered his arrest, trial, and conviction for the murders.

We suspect that one of them was that the City of Pennsylvania, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, knew what he was doing for decades but failed to do anything about his macabre work. And didn’t even enforce basic medical health and safety rules. Cast a blind eye on this monster and his henchmen (some as young as 16 illegally administering drugs by injection to patients).

The blame can be laid on everyone from the local cops on their beat up to and including the city and State officials. In multiple agencies and over a period of years. Indeed, he ran his butcher shop, his “house of horrors” for about 30 years. Now, although many still try to excuse his killings, it is obvious that his operation was notorious.

But no one did anything about it for decades. Gosnell is not the only one who will answer to His Maker for what he did: hundreds if not thousands, including the don’t-wanna-be mothers, must answer for this.

We at TPOL understand that many libertarians sincerely believe that a child is not a human being worthy of protecting life and liberty until they are born. Gosnell, of course, did not suffer from such a moral compass point. TPOL believes that scientifically and morally, life begins at conception. We understand the conflict between various facets of liberty this presents, but believe the idea that a child can be killed in the womb without regard for rights, aggression, or responsibility is a far greater blot on human liberty than a woman having to host that child for 9 months. But Gosnell went far beyond what we have ever heard a libertarian, pro-abortion or not, see as acceptable.
