Are you ready for this?

In an immoral, illegal, unconstitutional act of tyranny, the City of Houston has issued a subpoena to as many as 400 preachers in the city demanding that they submit their sermons concerning homosexuality, gender identity, and the city’s mayor.  The mayor is openly homosexual, and this is part of a fight over a new city ordinance dealing with gender identity which explicitly requires that building owners/operators allow anyone who claims to be of the “opposite sex” to use the toilets and other facilities assigned to that opposite sex.  More than 50,000 people signed a petition to refer that law to a public vote (only about 17,000 signatures were required), but the city rejected the petitions.  A physical male who claims to be a woman “inside” will be allowed to use a women’s toilet, locker, and shower – and vice versa, if the law takes effect.  Although there are many groups who are helping these preachers, none of them seems to be willing to argue that this is an act of tyranny and in clear violation of both US and Texas constitutions, a violation of human rights, and a grab for power by an evil cabal.  Of course, given the reputation of the Houston Police Department as a bunch of brutal thugs, I am sure that their SWAT will enjoy assaulting church buildings and the homes of preachers to search and seize the “evidence” of their evil preaching.

One alternative media source points out that the next front in the political battle over “same-sex marriage”  (sic) will be religious exemptions, but it seems to me to already be here.  Too many jurisdictions are already imitating what is the situation in Canada, where ANY statement of opposition to homosexuality, even citing a Bible verse, is a crime.  As with the war on drugs (itself evil), the “war for sexual diversity” already has its negative side effects (if indeed they are side effects and not an intentional feature), as we have seen in Colorado, New Mexico, Washington State, and many other places.  The entire concept of “hate crimes” is flawed and immoral, and gives government more and more power.

The preachers in Houston need to call for revolution against the thugs that the people of Houston have voted into power.  It is not just a petition against the law that should be initiated, but petitions to recall EVERY member of the council and the hateful mayor who is clearly closer to Kim Jung Un than any leader of a free people.   Libertarians and others do not need to agree with these preachers to defend their liberties to speak and preach without government control.

Sadly, most preachers will do nothing: too concerned about their income and prestige than preaching and living the Gospel.  And it is clear that more and more people who CLAIM to be religious and believers in Christ Jesus are among those who are pushing homosexual “marriage” and attacking those who are opposed to all sorts of transgender, homosexual, and other perversions.  Again, the preachers themselves bear some of the blame, since they failed to teach the truth on so many things, and have rejected biblical concepts of morality.

Mama’s Note: Anybody can be as perverted or stupid as they wish, as long as they don’t hold a gun on me and demand that I either pay for it or watch. That aggression would be the only things I’d criticize, since it is difficult to defend oneself from that in the current civil environment. But spending time and effort to criticize the behavior and choices of others who are not harming anyone with their perversions is counterproductive. The focus is on the personalities and not the tyranny.

What other people choose to do is none of my business. If some wish to speak in public to criticize the homosexuals, or whoever, that is certainly their right. I just don’t see any need for it myself.
