Good morning. A short commentary today, but some fun!
Culture wars: A “mother” has been arrested for attempted murder for abandoning newborn in sewer for up to five days. Found by a father and daughter biking in the area, who heard the horrifying sound of an infant crying in a storm sewer. Is this an example of the sickness of Society? In Australia, yet? Surely someone will come forward and say the mother had the right to perform a fourth-trimester (post-birth) abortion, since the child was obviously not sentient, and that the people who heard and reported the child were interfering with the mother’s “right to choose,” regardless of the time involved. Mama’s Note: While I agree with you completely here, Nathan, I’m having a very hard time believing this story. The idea that a newborn could survive that long without food or water is just not credible. Dehydration alone would have killed this child within 24 to 48 hours at most.
A judge has ruled that the Mayor of Houston must stop recognizing same sex marriage [sic] and providing benefits to same-sex couples. Expect the judge to be swiftly overturned, despite the fact that the mayor clearly violated state law: indeed, this may be one reason that she pushed so hard, in hopes of getting Texas to become the thirty-somethingth state to be forced to pervert the English language. Of course, this makes her a prime candidate to replace Chuck Hagel or get appointed to the Supreme Court by the Fuehrer. Funny indeed how until now this mayor was able to push her religious views on the city council and entire city, no? To be continued…
Heaven forbid that 2nd graders be forced to see a Christmas Tree on stage (which is not, to my recollection, ever identified as anything and could be a Holiday Tree or a Winter Tree or a Kwanzaa Tree or even a Hanukkah Tree!) because “obviously” a Christmas Tree is promoting Christianity, a religion. What ballet or play were they watching? The evil and corrupting Nutcracker! (No, not the supposedly-popular Hillary Clinton nutcracker sold on-line for Christmas 2014, but that Russian composer’s thing (Yes, RUSSIAN!).) Never mind that the use of fir or pine trees is a Nordic/German/Celtic PAGAN symbol and is NOT part of the “religious” celebration of the so-called Christ Mass (Christmas).
Idiots in Massachusetts and elsewhere are eager and able to tear down society as completely and rapidly as possible. This is called a “culture war” but it is in reality a war on liberty and civility, in which bitter and extreme interpretations of every aspect of traditional events and actions are damned (in a very SECULAR way, of course) as racist, religionist, bigoted, sexist, ageist, elitist, or just plain hate. So far, the PTA and school have canceled the trip then rescheduled it. To be continued…
Down check one more: the Fuehrer’s regime squatting there at 1600 PA is looking, smelling, and sounding more like the Third Reich every day. The latest public notice of the continuing purge is the SecDef himself: good ol’ Chuck Hagel. The White House is claiming that he jumped ship (traitor to the Fuehrer), but a lot of people are pointing out that the evidence is that he was pushed. It reminds me of Montezuma County, where the Board of Dictators has pushed out virtually every key employee to bring in their own buddies or family or people well-suited temperamentally to be toadies. Or a good many other county and state governments: just more corrupt and more vicious and evil. Who is next? To be continued…
