Author’s Note: I wrote this before news came that an MP had been assassinated in her own constituency, supposedly by someone who was a supporter of “LEAVE” in the Brexit vote. (Or “breadstick vote” as one person thought someone said.) Although polls indicated that support for the UK to leave the EU was growing and a majority (in a non-binding vote, I might note), this killing (gun and knife, both supposedly “Under Control” by the peelers, according to the powers-that-be) may change that. My points in this story remain valid.
Sometimes, you just shake your head. Ambrose Evans-Pritchard is well-known as a strong Tranzi, involved in all kinds of chicanery and name-calling on both sides of the Atlantic. And yet, he has now formally and publicly come out IN FAVOR of The UK’s exit from the EU, coming up for a vote next week. In an article in the Daily Telegraph he states his reasons for doing so.
He writes well, and this quote is quite striking: “We are deciding whether to be guided by a Commission with quasi-executive powers that operates more like the priesthood of the 13th Century papacy than a modern civil service; and whether to submit to a European Court of Justice (ECJ) that claims sweeping supremacy, with no right of appeal. “
It is clear that, despite himself, Evans-Pritchard is advocating for liberty; admittedly the liberty of the British people as a people but still a great step away from the nanny-state tyranny of the European Union. And a VERY long way from true liberty – which should be the political inheritance of ALL the English-speaking people.
Mama’s Note: Individual liberty is the birthright of every human being, everywhere and always. I know you know that…
Will a vote to leave the EU make a big difference to the daily lives and liberties of the British people, Her Majesty’s subjects? No, it will not: London (Whitehall) and Edinburgh will continue to exercise tyranny over English and Scots and Welsh and Irish. But in the long run, it CAN be a turning point; that those who turned away from liberty a century and more ago have again turned back on the path in the right direction.
When someone who is one of the “ruling elite” (as Paul Rosenberg discusses in The Rape of The West in his Freeman’s Perspective) turns against his own kind, you know that the situation is getting worse. The very people who are bleeding the world dry are doing it to each other, also.
But don’t hold your breath: Brits these days are a weak-willed, pusillanimous bunch, greedy for their various government benefits and fearful of drastic change. [The assassination may be just the emotional distraction necessary to get the masses of Her Majesty’s subjects to wimp out and stay on the Titanic … excuse me, stay IN the EU.]
