Well…

The media is telling us that the 14-day long offensive by the Ukrainian armed forces into Russia itself is a turning point in the war.

Right.

Let us take a quick look.

At risk of antagonizing some readers and reviewers, look at the map very carefully. It shows a big, big blue zone (we are told “not all confirmed”) that the Ukrainian forces have “overrun” in their offensive (incursion) into Russia itself. Wow! But look at the little inset map “Area of Detail” and see that little tiny box that has a tiny little blue dot in it? As compared to the big red area – which is just a part of Russian-occupied Ukraine?

We looked at a half-dozen maps of the offensive and its “tremendous success” which is going to turn the war around and let Ukraine (and its defacto NATO allies) defeat Russia. Virtually every one is a small-scale map that does not allow you to understand a very important fact. This assault and its success (wow – 25+ kilometers!) are a joke. A molehill on Mount Everest.

Compare it to the Battle of the Bulge: Hitler’s “Last Gasp” on the Western Front in WW2:

Look at that scale: the German offensive penetrated about 80-90 kilometers – in far more rugged and densely forested terrain, in just 9 days. Oh, dear! A turning point in WW2! The nasty Nazis are going to win – they will drive the Allies back into the Atlantic and no doubt follow them into downtown London!

Compare 80-90 km to 25 km. 9 days to 14 days (the Ukrainian incursion started on 6 AUG, and it is now 20 AUG). Compare the terrain, the forces, and more.

What is your conclusion? Ours is a harsh one. Once more, the media is lying to the world. With the approval and assistance of Ukraine and NATO and DC and London. Our second conclusion? While we don’t think this is Zelenskyy’s last gasp, it very well could be. Or it could be the failure that “justifies” NATO member nations and forces providing direct combat support – and even combat troops on the ground and in the air – to Ukraine. Our third?

There very well may be a fitting description of that: World War III.

We do make an observation: This shows Kiev is desperate because they are losing. Just as Uncle Adolf was.

When you look at and compare sources of information about the present and past fighting in Ukraine and now a tiny, tiny bit of Russia? This exaggeration of success is typical and has been the modus operandi ever since DC and Kiev goaded Moscow into the invasion.

The truth? We believe that Russia was in the wrong to invade Ukraine to aid their fellow countrymen and women (Russian speakers) being tormented by Kiev. We believe that Putin sees this as more than just liberating those majority-Russian zones of Ukraine. It very well be that he hopes ultimately to absorb Ukraine back into Mother Russia. (Remember that modern Russia started with Kievan Rus) Because he understands (or at least believes) that Russia is running out of time and must establish defensible frontiers against the rest of Europe. And especially the perfidious idiots that infest DC, London, and Brussels. We don’t trust Moscow.

And we do not trust Brussels, London, and DC. The powers-that-be in the FedGov (DC) with malice aforethought have worked for three and a half decades to put Russia into this situation. And then blame Russia for evilly thinking they have no alternative except to submit to slavery to DC.

This could no doubt be a turning point in the Russo-Ukrainian War, but not in the way the media is touting. Hitler’s failed last gasp wasted resources – and people, soldiers – that could have delayed the Allies and kept them West of the Rhine, allowing the war-weary people of the UK, US, and the Commonwealth to force abandoning the “unconditional surrender” demanded – and possibly enough resources could have stalled the brutal, raping, pillaging Soviet forces long enough to save millions of lives on all sides. Ukraine of course has resources the Third Reich only dreamed of. If there are not enough NATO, US, and UK “leaders” that resist starting World War III.

No doubt we at TPOL will be condemned for even hinting that Ukraine is/has lost and should surrender and accept peace terms. And even more that a Russian victory or draw might be better for the liberty of the people not only of Ukraine and Russia but many other places in this war-weary world of ours.
