Happy “4th-of-July” Eve – enjoy sleeping in tomorrow!

As we write and publish this today, it is just 8 or so hours before the local clock (Mountain Time) ticks off midnight.

Tomorrow morning, NPR (National Public Radio – one of the propaganda arms of the Woke left and the FedGov) will no doubt have its traditional reading of the Declaration of Independence, published in 1776. The reading will no doubt include the voices of dozens or hundreds of NPR “personalities” and a few celebrities and famous people.

It is a ritual. And as the news and opinion stories which will both precede and follow the reading will show, it is an empty ritual. At least for the staff and bosses of NPR. And without doubt, many of the advertisers (excuse me, “sponsors”) and other funders of the network.

Including the taxpayers which have borne by far the greatest burden in creating and sustaining NPR and the other elements of the “Corporation for Public Broadcasting.” A classic example of (take your pick): government “capitalism” or fascism (partnership of corporate and governmental interests) or communism: the international version of socialism. Particularly the “public” ownership of the means of production. Which must, of course, include the means of communication.

Why do we say this? Because the news read by NPR and the opinions stated by the NPR staffers and the people they interview will demonstrate that. How? By showing that they either ignore or completely refuse to understand the meanings of the words, sentences, and paragraphs in that “sacred” document.

No surprise, really? The same thing can be said of most readings of the Bible, either on Sundays in the sanctuaries of various Christian denominations and the Synagogue of various Jewish sects, or on the radio, television, and internet broadcasts.

They do not understand – or refuse to understand – what the Founding Fathers in that hot, humid Philadelphia of 249 years ago wrote. And why they wrote it. And how virtually every aspect of that Declaration has been (and is being) violated again and again and again. Not by a “distant” Parliament and monarch in distant London. And not even by just the bloated bureaucrats (the deep state), the two greedy and stupid houses of Congress, and the Nine Nazgul (and their kind) in DC. But by every State and virtually every county, city, town, township, special district, and tribe in these States.

Oh, you can easily find explanations of why the tyranny exercised by tens of thousands of governments and millions of government leaders and bureaucrats from sea to shining sea (and beyond) is different than what old George III and the arrogant Lords and Commons did 249 years ago. People will tell you it is different for all kinds of reasons. Such as “democracy” and “representative government” and of course, “times have changed.”

Do not – we say again – do not believe them. They lie. They may not realize it, and they will deny it. But they lie.

Instead, think about what Jefferson and all those other men (backed by their wives and many more) wrote and published that day. And ask yourself, how can I address these issues, these acts of tyranny, today?

And talk about it, listen to people about it, and then go out and do it.

Just what that bell outside Independence Hall stated: “Proclaim liberty throughout the land and to all the inhabitants thereof.” Not just your town or county, or your State. And especially not just to these Fifty States. But to the entire world, and the entire universe.

Think about this tomorrow morning. And act on it – not the next day or next week. Or even in the afternoon. But as soon as you think about.
