Public laws passed by Congress PER YEAR (average last 20 years) > 6,900 pages

Now, we understand that God is perfect but humans are not, but still…

We advise and remind you not to take our your frustration on your keyboard or monitor screen!

Some further thoughts:

How many federal laws have YOU violated before noon today? How about your neighbor? Your immediate family? Your pets?

And for that matter, how many federal (and state) laws has your US Representative read this year before voting on them? Those 6,900 pages are usually in small type: 10 point or smaller. Ask him or her next time you get a chance what their reading speed is. (The US average for adults is 250 words a minute. Typed pages usually are 500 words if single spaced and 250 words if double-spaced.) If we assume the bills are double spaced, that means a Senator or member of Congress reads about 1 page a minute. 6900 pages means just 115 hours just in reading. Not counting drafts or reconciliation or all of the bills that are not public laws.

But also ask that congresscritter how many federal laws have they violated each year. You can be sure that they don’t know any more than you do. But (being of suspicious mind regarding government officials) you can figure it is more than you have.

New Mexico: tyranny grows more extreme, people endangered

This news just came through, as an Imperial Proclamation from the Empress was announced (State/Imperial Website) that there is a 30-day suspension of open and concealed carry of weapons in Bernalillo County, which includes the largest city in New Mexico, Albuquerque.

The State press release about Empress Michelle’s decree states in part: ” suspension of open and concealed carry laws in Bernalillo County, temporarily prohibiting the carrying of guns on public property with certain exceptions. Exceptions include [sic] for licensed security guards and law enforcement officers. Citizens with permits to carry firearms are free to possess their weapons on private property (such as at a gun range or gun store), provided they transport the firearm in a locked box, use a trigger lock, or some other mechanism that renders the gun incapable of being fired.”

R.I.P. Liberty Safes 2023

No, not really. We here at TPOL actually rather hope that this turncoat company rots in bankruptcy Gehenna (court) of years, and that the company’s managers and policymakers are figuratively branded with a bright red T (for Traitor) on their foreheads.

Certainly the company has dishonored the name they bear.

As one of our staff here noted, obviously Liberty Safes made a decision to go out of business. It isn’t just the Bud Light treatment they can expect. After all, there are liberals and transsexuals who drank (and presumably still drink) Bud Light. But what gun owner can dare trust their possessions to a Liberty Safe after what happened in Arkansas?

“WE WILL NOT COMPLY”

Our commentary “Take the pledge?” about Eric Peters’ suggestion of a no-mask pledge for politicians received a number of on-the-record and off-site comments. One in particular from “Dave” has a great suggestion: let local business know that attempts to enforce a mask mandate will result in their losing our business.

In the light of the Bud Light debacle (for Anheuser Busch) and the growing pushback against Liberty Safe (for giving out the code for a customer’s safe to the FBI), all businesses should be sensitive to the power of their customers.

Someone has suggested going a bit further. Consider these (preprinted decals available for purchase on-line):

Take the pledge?

Eric Peters, over at his website (ericpetersautos.com) suggests that before people support or vote for politicians, voters demand a pledge from the candidates. He suggests:

Destroying the English language – for fun and power

For the last century-plus, English replaced French as the world language, of commerce, diplomacy, navigation (sea and air), and even war. To the so-called Progressives (the regressive Woke enemies of liberty), this is unacceptable. They have made vast inroads, even in the Fifty States, to try and dethrone English, replacing it with Spanish. In other parts of the world, Mandarin, Hindi, Swahili, Arabic, and even Russian have failed (as of yet) to replace it.

So new tactics are necessary. After all, English is the language of the colonialists, the colonizers, and it is the language of slavery, racism, sexism, and a host of other evils that must be eradicated. This is not just an “American” effort. (Of course, that name itself is part of the systemic problems that must be opposed and ultimately destroyed.) The UN and other supranational and national powers are working to solve this problem.

And it is not just a matter of the “correct” pronouns and cancellation for misgendering someone. Consider this UN publication:

America’s Army?

The Constitution, we have been told time and again, is not a suicide pact. This is usually done in connection with being told that the rights and freedoms protected by the Constitution are not absolute. And usually by people who try to pretend that much of what the Constitution says does not really apply to them and what they want to do. After all, they are the powers-that-be.

They are like corrupt cops who believe that they can and must violate the law in order to enforce it. These governmental thugs claim they must violate both spirit and letter of the Constitution to “protect and defend” it.

Many of these thugs of course are in Congress. While the Constitution may not be a suicide pact, Congress often seems to be pushing things that are tantamount to the suicide of America and its now moribund union of States.

New round of beer (flu) for everyone coming!

In the interests of protecting our readers from the new, even more deadly variant of the CCP or COVID-19 SARS-2 (whatever you want to call it) pandemic phase, we suggest you post this warning graphic in various convenient locations as you get face-diapers on again, get the ##th jab, and go back to social distancing and lockdowns:

We of course get greenie points for recycling this from 2020.

A “clear message” by Uncle Joe on “Transgender sports”

It is easy to despair at the way people behave and what they say.

Consider this recent MSN news story headlined “Joe Biden sends clear message on transgender sports.” Read it and tell us what you think.

To us here at TPOL, the only thing clear about this message (courtesy of his pretty little press secretary) is that all is normal: the current regime in DC is out to lunch and out at sea.

I’d like to say that they don’t know what they are doing, but I think they do. They are working towards a one-party state (not that we cannot argue that we have that in effect at the Federal level and many States). Part of their effort to achieve that includes doing everything they can think of to confuse, demoralize, and divide Americans. One of those ways is the political and socio-economic fad of “transgender” rights and advocacy.

America at bay?

More and more, analysts are concerned about the geopolitical weakness of the Fifty States – some stating it is weaker at any time since before World War 2. When coupled with the more and more common memes of the “end of American democracy” and “insurrection” and other nastiness, it is a concern we should address.

This geopolitical weakness now is not unique. The major competitors of the US – Russia, China, and the European Union – are also facing what some call their own geopolitical doom, particularly due to demographics. And while the States has unrivaled and truly amazing geopolitical advantages and demographic superiority, supposedly knowledgable people still claim American weakness. And demand it be fixed. Many of those “experts: point to the weakness during the Carter Administration, and to the post-Vietnam mess. And claim that those weaknesses were addressed and fixed. And that we must do the same and more because this is worse (“an order of magnitude”) than the mid-1970s or mid-1980s.

Is today a totally different and worse situation? As far as military weakness? Some points.
