Unfortunately, Nathan is still not well enough to write the commentary. I’m missing his droll opinion on the start of the “silly season” for the 2016 elections.

Wouldn’t it be easier to list all the politicians who are NOT running for president this time? The primary ballots will have to come in bound volumes, I think – or at least for the Republican side.

You have to wonder just what they’re all trying to prove. One thing is clear to me… They are a bunch of control freaks, who think their personal opinions should be imposed on the world. And the world needs more of that?

As for the Democrats, the idea of any of them taking seriously a “candidate” like Hillary is a true mystery. Even for politicians, a fat old lady who lies a lot, can’t keep her books straight, and plays patty cake with “official” communications… seems pathetic. If that’s the best they can do, I don’t know why anyone rational would ever again give them the time of day, let alone any power over their lives and property.

Except for those who directly benefit from the theft and coercion, I’m having a hard time understanding why most people are not already laughing like mad at this nonsense. Full disclosure… of course I thought the same when Obama was campaigning. Just what was it again that he had to offer anyone different than all the thieves and liars who have controlled government since the beginning?

So, don’t look to The Price of Liberty for any discussion about which “candidates” would be better, or less evil. The lesser evil is still evil, and someday those who can think for themselves will realize that they can and must choose NO evil at all. They must choose to govern themselves, in voluntary association with their neighbors.

Nobody can control a truly honest man (or woman). The worst that can be done to them is to kill them. And a great number of the honest men and women I know have the means to defend themselves. It remains to be seen if they have the will.
