Because of work, friends, and family, I pay attention to New Mexico a lot. That includes almost daily listening to a Farmington radio station’s state/local news. KENN, like Farmington itself, is an anomaly in New Mexico: it is a diverse yet conservative cultural area, in many ways more like Texas with AmerInd, than the rest of New Mexico.
Its not as far physically from Santa Fe as places like Hobbs or Clovis or Catron County – but mentally and socially it is a VERY long way away from the New Age, woke, social justice warriors and environists that infest Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
Unfortunately, as in many of our States, New Mexico is dominated by an urban elite and their followers and fans – as “leftist” and anti-liberty crowd as any found in San Francisco, Boston, or Chicago. And they have dominated the politics and social lives of the many AmerInd communities and nations of the State.
The horrible impact of this poor political climate translated into a horrible medical and health – and freedom – situation with the arrival of the novel coronavirus in 2020.
Since then, the Empress of New Mexico and her enforcers have created one of the most onerous “health” dictatorships of any State – indeed at times rivaling the situation in Australia and now in Canada: National Guard and State Police have been used numerous times to enforce lockdown and masking, and the State has been broken up into little enclaves by checkpoints and roadblocks. Many of the Pueblo villages have gone even further in their panicked efforts to prevent COVID-19 infections and illnesses and deaths.
And apparently, NONE of it worked, as this chart shows, over the two years of the Pandemic Panic.
Many of those deaths WERE of tribal members living in their own segregated communities, where the assault on liberty was even harsher than that of the Empress statewide. In other words, medical tyranny used the excuse of COVID-19, but really did NOTHING to stop New Mexico’s people from dying.
At the same time, this same coalition of liberty-haters has taken action (and prompted action) to further damage New Mexico’s economy and society – and therefore harm the people of New Mexico. The constant efforts of the State government to destroy the State’s vital oil and gas industry, and weaken or even eliminate its mining industry, continued all through the past two years, accelerating with Uncle Joe “in control” in DC. Its coal industry and the power produced by coal is now mortibund. Water – always critical for New Mexico – is sucked up by the elite’s green lawns and waterparks and other luxuries while farms and ranches and small communities sometimes worry about where the next drink of water for their people – much less cows and sheep and thirsty food crops – is going to come from.
And many of the State’s police and sheriffs officers have been channeling their Iberian and Mexican spiritual ancestors for years: thuggish behavior is taken for granted by many New Mexicans when dealing with the cops.
The pressures on the State and its people are profound. Yesterday’s (Sunday 13 FEB 2022) knife attacks on 11 people in the eastern part of downtown Albuquerque very well may be a sign of the stress. A madman on a BMX bike rode around slashing and hacking at people with a knife at various locations. And the incompetence of the cops (not just their brutality) is demonstrated by the fact that it apparently took them THREE HOURS to find and stop this insanity – right in the heart of New Mexico’s largest city.
There are many reasons that New Mexico is a basket case, and a poster child for losing precious liberty. But the key thing to us here at TPOL is that the people of New Mexico – at least a significant minority of them – have put their trust in princes: corrupt, venal, power-hungry, smooth-talking parasites.

Poor, poor New Mexico
