Get your children out…

By Nathan Barton

A Blaze story points out one of the many evils of government-run, theft-funded schools – so-called “public schools.” The teacher punished the fifth-grader and threatened him for treating her with the respect his parents expected of him towards his teachers.

His crime?  He answered her with “yes, ma’am.”  The story does not report WHY the teacher believed that he was disrespectful to her by using a standard American English term of respect. But in her eyes, his way of showing respect was unacceptable in her classroom – indeed, evil.

The evil, of course, must be immediately punished.

What if he were not stopped? What if he continued to show her respect, not as teacher and representative of the state, but as a young man to an older woman? The consequences could be severe. He and other students might have questioned what they were taught about human nature, especially sexuality. About how human sexes are strictly a matter of opinion. Doubted what is taught about rejecting old customs for whatever fad is currently taught (and practiced) by the elite like her. Doubt about her teaching about the evils of his Confederate ancestors in resisting government. Teaching about evolution, the natural superiority of elected officials and appointed bureaucrats, and all the rest of the mishmash of modern progressivism. And they might even doubt the utter essential nature of conformance and obedience to the state.

What is wrong with this? With the GRTF schools?

  1. State schools cannot tolerate any parental authority or influence over their own children.  At least not in the school or public venues.
  2. Immediate and complete obedience to teachers and other statist, controlling “authority figures” is constantly demanded. Failure to do so must be punished swiftly.
  3. Traditional societal norms  (like respectful language different for male and female) must be wiped away, to be replaced by the “new” and acceptable standards. Especially anything that indicates respect for old ways, or for “the old guard.” (Such as parents.)

I realize that these points at first glance seem contradictory. Why not? In the eyes of the statist, controllers of the GRTF schools, there are “good” and “bad” authorities.  Defined, of course, by the government and the GRTF schools. (And the centers of indoctrination called universities.)

Good authorities are government officials (including teachers and professors) and those who are (in rather archaic language) “the vanguard of the proletariat.”  The media, Hollywood, the elite of Silicon Valley, union leaders, progressives.

Bad authorities, of course, are parents.  Religious leaders (at least, the wrong kind).  And many other “dead white men” and those women, minorities, and the like who have “sold out” to those ancient evils.  Anyone themselves not controlled by others. “Dead white men” like Moses, the Christ, the Founding Fathers, and of course the proponents of traditional liberalism, liberty, freedom, responsibility and self-government.

This teacher followed a pretty standard playbook – she responded to the words of respect (which she clearly did NOT earn nor deserve) quickly with feigned horror, swift punishment, and a “humorous” threat of physical violence. This pointed out to the boy’s classmates the consequences of anything less than total, obsequious obedience.  A relatively mild punishment, mind you: filling pages with the hated word (“ma’am”) and telling his parents.

I guess that she assumed that the parents would roll over and accept the implications. Their antiquated, quaint way of life (like saying “yes, ma’am” and “no, sir” and other acts of properly-raised ladies and gentlemen) with its sexist, racist, and other overtones cannot compete with her.  Her and her authority as one of the elite: their professionalism based on “scientific” foundations. Which have (in her eyes and society’s) already demonstrated the worthless nature of the old ways.

Of course, in this case, the parents did NOT roll over.  (Though I cringe at the thought of how many OTHER parents have, in similar circumstances.) They had the temerity to push back.  At least somewhat. The parents requested and got their child moved to another classroom.  As if that solves the problem. There is no indication the teacher had any action taken against her at all.  The new teacher is almost certainly doing the same, if perhaps in a bit differently.  The child’s indoctrination will continue.  And even though his parents stood up for him, the humiliation and its memory remain.

What should and can be done?  I know Lady Susan and I have constantly harped on this.  Get your children OUT of the public schools!  Teach them at home, and if necessary, find private schools or other people to help teach them. Stop sending them for 6-10 hours a day into a contaminated environment and think that you can spend the other 6-10 waking hours canceling the indoctrination, the brainwashing.

Govment schools are to the younger generation as social security is to the older generation, hence my previous unpublished comment as to what it will take to get rid of it.

Larry, sorry for the delay in approving your comment and responding.

I’m not sure how you are comparing the two generations. I think the older generations (especially those now retired and receiving social security retirement) were just as enamored with GRTF schools as any today – if not more so. Homeschooling and even private schools (except for Catholics and some Jewish communities) were nearly unheard of in the 1950-1970s. (Of course, the rot at the core of these schools was not nearly so visible them.) Today, far, far too many still support and believe that these institutions are good for people and the nation. To politicians, both of them are “third rail” situations that anyone interested in getting into and staying in office dare not touch.

Sometimes I read about stuff like this and think it just cannot be true. Unfortunately they are becoming the norm in our upside down world. What a disaster public schools are.

The public schools have been a disaster for decades, growing steadily worse. The behaviors once characteristic of inner-city (ghetto and barrio and slum) schools are now common even in rural and frontier schools. But the roots of that go back to the ideas of the transplanted Prussian Communists fleeing from their failed revolutions in Europe in 1848, which established the modern American public school system. It was a long, slow, and (I believe) carefully thought out plan: we see it to much the same degree in schools in Germany and elsewhere today.
To the Tranzis, the progressives and controllers, the public school system is the gift that never stops giving. That is why the only solution is to keep children out of them. And stop supporting them every way we can (can get away with, at least).

the purpose of ‘public education’ has nothing to do with ‘education’ and everything to do with the production of docile cogs for the machine to consume at the direction of their ‘betters’.

it is beyond me to understand punishing someone for being polite, unless, of course, one lives in a totally crass society composed of people who are self hating and self loathing and cannot abide with those not similarly affected.

the ‘teacher’ (loose term, that is) should be fired, but will likely be rewarded…at least until the rotten societal facade that purports to represent this nation falls of its own weight of stupidity.

Beau, I think part of the “production of docile cogs” IS punishing common courtesy and civil behavior. A fractured, rude, conflicted society is an excuse for a totalitarian government in which every facet of life is dictated by government. A society in which even a small percentage of youth are twisted and warped into expressing sociopathy is justification for more and more control. The extinction event that Slave Larry talks about is possibly the fall of the society due to stupidity and hubris. The controllers who are pushing for destruction of social norms are entirely incapable of dealing with the forces they are loosing.

I think it might not be that extreme, unless you are talking about extinction of the controllers: the politicians in power and the bureaucrats and other thugs who do their bidding (for their own pleasure, of course).
Of course, as we have seen in recent decades (examples being the “homosexual marriage” process and the war on the Southern Cross flag and statues), vast changes can come about from very small initial causes. We can pretty much figure out who lit the match to the powder train in those (and other) cases, but who exactly LAID the powder train in the first place? And why? Why did people like Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton USE the Southern Cross and southern heritage as part of their political campaigns in the 1970s and 1990s, and turn against it in the 2010s? Why did they oppose “homosexual marriage” in those same periods, and then reverse themselves 180? Power, yes, but why those and not other issues?

Sorry for the delay in publishing yours and other comments. I saw that news story, and found it both disturbing and believable.
But a key point to remember is that SOME busybody, nosy parker, called the cops.
And although we blame the cops and child protective services, I think it is important to remember that these evil people have an excuse for their hardnosed response and “guilty, guilty, guilty” attitude. That excuse/reason is (a) the Congress and the various State Legislatures PASSED laws (and presidents and governors SIGNED them) which (b) gave the thugs the legal justification to write these incredibly totalitarian regulations and go out and play jack-booted thug, while the “lawmakers” sat back and gave the thugs a (sometimes literal) license to kill. The excuse the lawmaking thugs give is “the people demanded something be done,” because it is “foah the chilluns.”
