What can we do?

It is less than two weeks now.

As the elections continue to spin more and more out of control, what’s a lover of liberty to do?

It isn’t just the election to see who is Massa on January the 20th. It is who controls the Senate, the House of Representatives, and most of 50 State Capitols. For lovers of liberty, whether free-market anarchists, minarchists, or Libertarians, (and even some Constitutionalists and Paleo-Conservatives), there is little substantive difference between most on the ballot regardless of the D or R after their names.

Looting – a Baker’s Dozen thoughts ™

Apparently, a part of the Pandemic Panic and Lockdown ™ and the Twenty-Dollar Rebellion (the post-George Floyd) “protest movement” – and therefore, the “new normal” is continued looting. Also known as pillaging and plundering, it appears that such actions are the prerogative of people protesting 500 years of evil white supremacy and racism, while demanding the defunding of police. Regardless of the “protesters” own race, economic status, or social class.

In the next few weeks, there will undoubtedly be numerous times that the “opportunity” for looting will be created by protests – however peaceful they are intended to be. So let us examine this cute little pasttime.

A Baker’s Dozen ™ Results of The Most Important Election in Our Lifetimes ™

Just a couple of weeks left until The Donald (Trump), Creepy Joe (Biden), and Jo Jorgenson face off. This is (according to every pundit and freak-out artist) The Most Important Election of Our Lifetimes (tm – Laissez Faire) or TMIEOL.

Let us briefly consider several Baker’s Dozen (tm – The Price of Liberty) things that will happen if …

Are you safe? Now? Next few weeks? Next year?

2020 has been – is – a horrible year. For too many people in too many places across the Fifty States. And across the world. Nature, evil men and women who hate liberty, who want control, and more.

Matters are not looking good, are they? Here is a quick Baker’s Dozen (TM) that we have faced and are facing:

Commentary on the news – insanity and wokeness

So-called “wokeness” – the sudden or growing realization that various social justice and other regressive doctrines are “true” – increasingly cannot be distinguished from advanced insanity. Paranoia, schizophrenia, extreme sociopathy, massive psychopathy, and other mental aberrations are demonstrated by what is said and done.

We get new examples of this daily, but let me dissect some recent examples.

Baker’s Dozen ™ Actions: dealing with the insanity of 2020

The year 2020 is a nightmare. The world has gone mad. The FedGov, already insane, has grown more crazy. Virtually overnight, Many states became totalitarian dictatorships – controlled by elected “massas,” unelected bureaucrats, and jack-booted thugs. Communities are purposefully torn apart by internal factions and external meddling.

People, even when part of the insanity, are worried. Terrified. Those who just want to live their lives in peace and prosperity? Enjoy their families, run their businesses, work at their professions? The vast majority of those “normal people” (regardless of their politics and religion) are fearful indeed. Even though they are pretending that things are “mostly” normal. They tell themselves that things are going to return to more normalcy.

Trust in these Fifty States

In his 2008 book “The Last Centurion,” John Ringo has (a la Heinlein) a lot of sociopolitical and even “history and moral philosophy” discussions by the fictional narrator/writer, “Bandit Six.”

One of those is a discussion on trust in societies. He points out the difference between societies with general trust, those who have only “familial trust,” and those who have very little trust. He notes that the Fifty States overall are a “society” with general trust. But there are more and more communities in the Fifty States which now accept the idea of familial trust only, Usually, these are communities or societies which originated outside the States and brought this level of trust with them.

People and organizations are working and planning for chaos

Today, these Fifty States are in the midst of a civil war: a cultural conflict growing more vicious by the day. Politics, though only a part of it, is nevertheless a critical front. The 2020 election may be the most divisive since 1968, and by some accounts, since 1860.

See the source image

A publication (which I strongly dislike referencing) recently published an article: “The Left Prepares for Violence After Election Day,” While they are just one among many sources that are predicting such violence (both before and after election day), the gist is very similar. Among the items discussed in that article is the report of the “Transition Integrity Project.”

Keeping the peace is NOT enforcing the law

TPOL frequently comments on police. Our recent commentary on an alternative to 21st Century policing and police forces received several comments which led to examining some of the topics in more detail. I appreciate the comments and the thoughts that they generate.

One key point is that there is a difference between “law enforcement” and “peacekeeping.” A very big difference.

The growing need for full Lockdown Rebellion – even in South Dakota

As I have frequently written and commented, people living in South Dakota are indeed blessed: we have no dictator-in-charge to “save us” from the Pandemic. I was reminded of this again the first weekend in October, traveling through Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming. Compared especially to Colorado’s Front Range district, South Dakota is indeed STILL a Free State. Our State and many (even MOST) local authorities have not joined the Panic about the Pandemic. Even our medical personnel and institutions have been relatively lowkey and realistic.
