One of the recurring problems many lovers of liberty – especially we “more radical” free-market anarchists have is how we view police officers. Cops. In the light of the murder of George Floyd in Minnesota, let us look more generally at them.
Publisher’s note: With conditions as they are in the Fifty States right now, I am taking a “semi-break” from all the bad news, and publishing a few more general or even lighthearted commentaries that I hope readers will still find useful and encouraging. At the same time, there IS a tie between this subject (coins – money) and the current roiling of society. Read on, please!
Memorial Day is the start of Summer for Americans. It is already a hot summer, as cities burn and violence explodes. On top of the pandemic Lockdown, and the mostly-peaceful Lockdown Rebellion, we now have a seeming effort to recreate the insanity of 1968. Fifty-two years ago, a combination of the Southeast Asian War, racial tensions, urban problems, and seven years of increasingly liberal/progressive control of governments led to a series of assassinations, protests, riots, and fighting which scarred the Fifty States for decades.
It now appears that is being repeated. That goal – and more – is shared by multiple groups working together. Not just a repetition of “the Barbecue” (as 1968 was called in DC for years after), but a greater social upheaval. Already being called a revolt, pushed to become rebellion and revolution.
For those people who constantly claim, “if we just get to the Supreme Court…,” well, now you know the truth.
The Supreme Court of the United States has stamped “CANCELLED FOR PANDEMICS” all over the First Amendment. And by doing so, the Nazgul have demonstrated, 5-4, that they have nothing but contempt for human rights, for freedom, for liberty, and for the Bill of Rights.
These five people have refused to declare the prohibition and restrictions on religious assembly decreed by Governor Gavin Newsom, dictator of California, to be unconstitutional – a violation of the First Amendment. They are traitors, they are oathbreakers, they are enemies of the very Constitution they swore to uphold.
The ink of that stamp bleeds through every page, every article, every paragraph and sentence of the United States Constitution. Those who have claimed it is a dead letter know now they were right.
The Roberts Court, and especially the traitor John Roberts himself, have not even the pitiful excuse of the Taney Court in support of slavery, or the Warren Court in favor of murdering babies.
I made a pledge some readers may recall:
I, Nathan Alan Barton, do solemnly affirm that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
Can ANYONE explain to me how I can NOT consider John Roberts, Ginsberg, Breyer, Sotomayer, and Kagan as domestic enemies? No matter WHAT their justification?
This (the cartoon) did NOT happen either in Philadelphia at the Constitution or the Congress that forwarded the Bill of Rights to the States for their approval.
If THIS part – the First Article of Amendment of the Constitution of the United States can be declared null and void by a governor who has made himself the tyrant and dictator of the State of California AND the cowardly, traitorous act of FIVE men and women in black robes, ALL of them breaking their oaths to defend and protect the Constitution, there is NOTHING in that document which has ANY force.
ANY right, ANY power, ANY limit on power, of the Federal Government, a State government, a Tribal government, or a LOCAL government, can be taken away through the declaration of a state of emergency or a public health excuse. If some jurisdictions do NOT do so, it is not because they are restrained by any sort of law of man. No, it is entirely dependent on the “goodness of their heart” – the magnanimity of the tyrant, the mercy of an all-powerful man or woman.
This cannot stand. If the Constitution is now declared null and void, the only recourse is ALL who still honor their commitment to defend and protect, and anyone else who believes that God or nature made us free men and women.
It is NOT rebellion against government – not LEGITIMATE government. It is NOT repudiating any oaths to the Constititions, federal or local. It is NOT disobeying lawful orders – or indeed, ANY law. It is NOT a refusal to “bear true faith and allegiance” to the Constitution.
Strictly speaking, an unconstitutional statute is not a “law”, and should not be called a “law”, even if it is sustained by a court, for a finding that a statute or other official act is constitutional does not make it so, or confer any authority to anyone to enforce it.
Yes I know that this doesn’t strictly apply: the Dictator of California is NOT trying to enforce a “statute” or a “law” – he is enforcing a DECREE, an “Executive Order” that is not even legally AND morally applicable to individuals, whether they are a religious assembly or anything else.
So we seem, at this point, to be left with one recourse: armed resistance and the threat of arms, and as necessary, armed action, to remove these traitors, these tyrants and supporters of tyranny, from power.
It was on Wednesday morning that I posted comments regarding the decline and fall of the massive urban areas. Increasingly uninhabitable, “ungovernable” (at least for those who believe in a totalitarian nanny-state system of rule over the masses), and economically and socially unsustainable.
It seems that I was unintentionally and unknowingly prefacing the storm. The Battle of Minneapolis is now raging, and battles have and are developing across the Fifty States in city after city. Meanwhile people on all sides are whipping up fury and escalating the threats, demands, AND violence. But the source? The police and the politicians: not just but especially the regressivists that control the blue states and cities.
I admit it has been predicted more than once, that the “great urban areas” (whether they had a “mere” 50,000 people in the Middle Ages or the 5-20 million of the huge urban complexes of the 21st Century) are going to collapse and die. But maybe, just maybe, this time – with the Pandemic Panic and the accelerating withdrawal of the Fifty States from the world order of the last 75 years – it is going to happen?
IN 2020, the threatened (predicted) claims of 1/10 of one percent (1 in a thousand) Americans was sufficient excuse for 31 of the Fifty States to take away the constitutionally-protected right of freedom of expression and exercise of religion. And to deny people the right to travel or even leave their homes without some “justification” to do so, in forty-three of the Fifty States, in essence taking away the right of freedom of assembly.
So, what opportunity is presented to the now-outed dictators and tyrants which rule most of the people of the nation by this incident in South Carolina? ABC News reported that two people were killed and five wounded by gunfire at a “rural block party” with about 1,000 people attending. That is just 1/5 of one percent (1 in 500) Americans killed.
Since lovers of liberty (even lovers of SOME liberty) have been so successful in regaining the right to own, keep, and bear guns? Clearly if the statists cannot (yet) steal away our “gun rights” (right to self defense), it is time to permanently steal away our right to assemble – whether for religious, political OR recreational reasons. Crowds are bad for you, clearly: one in 500 died, and another one in 200 were wounded in a crowd. Crowds are worse for you than Bad Orange Man!
The success, even if waning at this time, of the tyrants, the authoritarians, the bosses of jack-booted thugs, of the past few months has been striking. Even if the Pandemic Panic is over, do not think for a minute that these evil men and women are giving up the power they have now seized AND working to seize more power. And yet more.
What can we do to stop this?
The simplest is one I’ve addressed frequently in the past few months. After and while explaining your motives and understanding, simply refuse to obey. While not doing anything likely to cause the thugs and the Karens and the statists to lose their temper and do something nasty without warning, refuse to follow their illegal, immoral, and often stupid instructions.
(Keep in mind, we are seeing more examples of irrationality on the part of those so terrified and accustomed to their chains. Those attacking people verbally and physically for refusing to wear masks, or for reopening. The usual Karen trick of ratting people out – especially businesses. And “punishing” and getting revenge – for example, by burning down church buildings.)
So we have to be very careful in what we say when we refuse to obey. And to make sure that we do not initiate, or seem to initiate, violence even in self-defense. Especially since the deep-state thugs, this time in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has just sent out warnings to all law-enforcement and their fusion centers that Lockdown “Resisters” are getting angry and “may turn violent.” Of course, outfits like ABC seek to spread that message, understanding that modern police training includes lots of paranoia and encourages cops to think that everyone is against them.
Including their own. The locked-down, dictator-ridden State of New Mexico shows this: in a SWAT standoff in Espanola, New Mexico, the neighboring Rio Arriba County’s Sheriff is now in jail, supposedly for interfering in the SWAT team operations, and being drunk, as reported by AP. And it is clear that Dictator Lujan Graham and her minions are grabbing at excuses to keep the Lockdown going for a long time. The tTop New Mexico tourism bureaucrat says “mass gatherings” may not be possible for 18 months, according to The Hill. New Mexico is one of those States which has tried repeatedly to shut down gunshops, prevent churches from meeting, and praised the destruction of their oil and gas industry for “the environment.” (Sadly, New Mexico as a State and culture has never been able to escape from its Spanish imperial heritage. Remember that New Mexico was still part of an imperial authoritarian nation for nearly 75 years after the Thirteen States seceded from the United Kingdom.)
Of course, as usual, government – the politicians and the bureaucrats – are lying. Just as with gun control.
Even that rag “The Hill” admits that the REAL DEATH TOLL from the Pandemic Panic is NOT the 100,000 dead so far from the actual disease. (IF indeed the numbers are not inflated, as has been documented in NYC, Colorado, and elsewhere.) Read what The Hill published:
The lost economic output in the U.S. alone is estimated to be 5 percent of GDP, or $1.1 trillion for every month of the economic shutdown. This lost income results in lost lives as the stresses of unemploymentand providing basic needs increase the incidence of suicide, alcohol or drug abuse, and stress-induced illnesses. These effects are particularly severe on the lower-income populace, as they are more likely to lose their jobs, and mortality rates are much higher for lower-income individuals.
Statistically, every $10 million to $24 million lost in U.S. incomes results in one additional death. One portion of this effect is through unemployment, which leads to an average increase in mortality of at least 60 percent. That translates into 7,200 lives lost per month among the 36 million newly unemployed Americans, over 40 percent of whom are not expected to regain their jobs. In addition, many small business owners are near financial collapse, creating lost wealth that results in mortality increases of 50 percent. With an average estimate of one additional lost life per $17 million income loss, that would translate to 65,000 lives lost in the U.S. for each month because of the economic shutdown.
Think about that: we’ve been closed since mid-March: as we near the end of May, that is two and a half months: that alone is 150,000+ premature deaths. NOT counting deaths due to lack of medical attention, AND not counting deaths in other countries.
But the COV-19 deaths are an EXCUSE for government to grown more totalitarian, more authoritarian, more powerful and therefore more tyrannical.
Last Thursday and Friday, The Donald declared that States which failed to allow their residents religious freedom by denying their right to assemble and do other things that are matters of religion were wrong. On Friday he commanded America’s governors to immediately reopen churches and other places of worship shuttered by the coronavirus pandemic, threatening to “override” the state leaders if they refused to follow his directive.
Chaos pushed by multiple groups
