Battle of Paris: More questions

By Nathan Barton

The Battle of Paris continues, with the French security forces attacking and killing people claimed to be part of the “sophisticated conspiracy” resulting in the Friday the 13th attacks.

(By the way, how many people recall that the modern Friday the 13th superstition comes from the dastardly and unprovoked attack and suppression of the Knights Templar by French King Philip “the Fair” (NOT!) beginning with “raids” on Friday, 13 October 1307 (a year after he expelled all Jews from France), in which hundreds of Templars were arrested and their possessions (and the money on deposit with them belonging to thousands) were seized, followed by torture and ultimately execution. Seven hundred years of blowback?) Continue reading

Libertarian Commentary on the News, 19 November 2015, #15-46C: Lies and Liars

By Nathan Barton

Oh, please, are we surprised?  That she LIES?  Breitbart reports that Clinton’s claims about gun violence at the last Dem Prez Debate are grossly exaggerated.  Here is the tally: she said 200 children dead in the last month: truth, 70 children and teenagers killed by guns.  Many teens due to gang violence.  She said, 3000 people killed by guns in the last month: truth, about a thousand. She claimed 21 “mass shooting” (four or more killed) in the past month: apparently there have been two.  AP reported this, but few if any “mainstream media” or “fact-checkers” bothered to report this.  Why? Personally, I WISH it was because they just figure she’s always lying (like all politicos), but it is because of bias and hoploclastic mindsets in the media.  If a GOP candidate had claimed there were 600 murders by border jumpers in the last year, and it only turned out to be 200, well, the headlines would be bold indeed.  But for Clinton to lie is just politics as usual – “not worth reporting.” Continue reading

Libertarian Commentary on the News, 18 Nov 2015, #15-46B: Looks can deceive

By Nathan Barton

The above pictures come from some of the many articles concerning the response to the attacks in Paris.  Frankly, who can tell the difference between the Caliphate’s murdering warriors and the State’s murdering thugs?? Not just in the pictures, either. And just because they have “POLICE” stenciled on their protective vests doesn’t mean a thing. Continue reading

Wake up, people!

By Nathan Barton

Wake up to the real world, people! L. Neil Smith, the SF writer, is one of those who has, and although his language sounds inflammatory and harsh, I think he is coming down about right.  Read his column on The Libertarian Enterprise now.

I know, I can hear it now.  All the usual folks are screaming that the Paris attacks are a “false-flag” planned and carried out by (pick any or all): The FedGov, the Israelis, the Zionists (not necessarily the same thing), the Council on Foreign Affairs, the House of Windsor, the House of Hapsburg (Merovingians), the Priory of Sion, the Third (or Fourth or Fifth) International, the Clintons, the Bushs, the Skull and Bones Society, and for all I know the KKK and NSDAP.  ISIS/ISIL/IL/Dawah (the Caliphate) is a tool or creation of NATO, MI6, CIA, Mossad, etc.

Folks, it does NOT matter.  Continue reading

Libertarian Commentary on the News, 16 November 2015, #15-46A: Drums of War

By Nathan Barton

The drums of war are beating.  World Net Daily states that France is invoking the North Atlantic Treaty Article 5 to require ALL members of NATO go to a FORMAL war footing against the Caliphate, even while the French launch fresh attacks against ISIS targets in Syria and Mesopotamia, regardless of borders or whether or not it makes sense.  They want to invoke “third block” war when they are using second-generation tactics to fight a fourth-generation war.

There is fear that Syria and Russia will think this is a false-flag attack (the one in Paris) and an excuse to put down the Syrian regime.  I see it as at least a chance to get the West to stop the insanity of supporting ANY Muslim faction (the Assad regime is not really Muslim and certainly not Islamist). Third World War? No, I think that the squatter in 1600 PA and the rest of the Tranzi scum in the capitals of Europe will not allow the West to go to war with the Ummah, let alone win it. Fighting for Life and Liberty in 2015: Combating Censorship and More

By Nathan Barton

I am sharing what is basically TWO articles, concerning the Trans-Pacific Partnership and its copyright provisions, which have established a regime for censorship of “alternative media” like The Price of Liberty.org, Smoke Signals, Gospel Sower, and many many others – even non-political ones.  Please read and pass on these ideas about HOW TO FIGHT. I’ve edited this to remove some names and and add some thoughts.  I don’t necessarily agree with all the suggestions, but you should at least consider them. Continue reading

Libertarian Commentary on the News, 13 NOV 2015; #15-45C: Bad Luck?

By Nathan Barton

A constant theme from some parts of the “larger” liberty and conservative movement is our poor food and diet: a product of government-subsidized and corporate-controlled agriculture, food production, and distribution.  So, what about “Open-sourced food production – the future of urban diets?”  Thus asks the Guardian in a recent article.  “Scientists are developing open-source technologies that reward locally grown foods, cutting down on shipping and improving nutrition…” Continue reading

THe IRS Scam

By Nathan Barton

The IRS Scam (No, not THAT one, another one)

No link to this one, but I recently received an e-mail from my dear US Representative in Congress (Kristi Noem, SD-00 (South Dakota only has ONE) warning me of a wave of scam calls and e-mails from people pretending to be the IRS in an attempt to steal money from us by getting our bank account or credit card information.  The calls tell us that the IRS is getting ready to sue us, unless we immediately settle the problem.

Well, now, that is a pretty great e-mail.  Pretty neat that instead of trying to get us to endorse some or the other policy or legislation, or tell us what a great job she’s doing, she is actually trying to be a good public servant. Continue reading

Libertarian Commentary on the News 11 November 2015 (Veterans Day), #15-45B: Paranoia & Armistice Day

by Nathan Barton

Do not expect me to laud or sob for Veterans Day. Originally Armistice Day, it commemorates the official end of that bloody horror called “The Great War” and 22 years later renamed into “The First World War,” a tragic “comedy” of errors that destroyed the future of most of Europe and more than a few of the Fifty States (Arkansas, for example, has never recovered the combination of bloodbath and mass exposure to other places that made my grandfather’s saying “Arkansas is a good place to BE from – far from,” a fact of life for many). But instead of a somber remembrance of the horrors of state-mandated and -encouraged war, it has become an excuse for paid patriotism and mindless glorification of militarism by too many people – as well as a holiday from work for millions who never wore a uniform and never (whatever their reason) put their necks on the line for an ungrateful population and a power hungry Congress and White House. Libertarian Commentary on the News,10 November 2015, #15-45A: Correct?

By Nathan Barton

Political pressure and correctness run amuk? The University of Missouri president has resigned, according to the WaPo, Jim Wolfe announced he is resigning amid criticism of how racial issues have been handled on campus. Apparently, the football team “took him down” because they didn’t like the way he didn’t grovel enough over something that was misconstrued as racist. This is just another part of the purge of so much of society today: education (especially government-run, tax-funded), the military, other parts of government, and even business and private organizations. Today, purges are not conducted by people with black leather trench coats, but by mobilizing mobs of students and activists and flooding Twitter and Facebook with vicious attacks, until life is so miserable for the person being purged that they flee “voluntarily.” Continue reading
