In some ways, the Lockdown is backfiring

Non-Resistance To Tyrants Is Obedience To Satan! | The ...

Let’s talk about schools and guns – favorite topics of both Mama Liberty and myself.

A Baker’s Dozen (TM) examples of media lies and politician worship

Look, we all know the media lies. This has become an increasing problem, a deep embarrassment to many publishers, editors, and others (usually retired) as the powermongers and the pitifully uneducated modern “professionals” move into the business.

Here are some recent examples:

Insanity: an example of the bureaucratic, statist, nanny, and authoritarian mindset

Thanks to Miquel for finding this. Just in time for Memorial Day.

Kipling described this insanity just over a century ago, in his poem, The Gods of the Copybook Headings. Definitely worth reading.

Fiction: Incident on Main Street

A short story set in the near future

It had been a long day. I was tired and frustrated with computer problems, dealing with angry and abusive customers of my bank on the phone, and being cooped up.  I had shut down my system, rubbed my hands and face with sanitizer, slipped on the nitrile gloves, disinfected by personal cell phone and earbud, turned them on and put them on, then checked my current mask.  The telltale was still in the green zone, so I put it on and walked down the row of cubicles to the main door, nodding at the security guards with their zootsuits, full face respirators, and stun rods.

Lockdown Rebellion – Battlelines harden

It has been two months, now, and more. Since the middle of March, the fear and panic of the pandemic have turned the low-key police state existing in ALL of Fifty States (this new American imperium) into a far harsher and more obvious police state in many of the Fifty States.

It took a while – far too long in most places – for people to seriously start fighting back – not just to resist but to actively rebel. Even in States that are still relatively free. But especially in States now ruled by dictators – whether self-appointed or with legislative “approval.”

News from the front lines of the Lockdown Rebellion (and some funnies)

Even New Mexicans have a rebellious streak: although they are far too tolerant of the tyrannical edicts of their Dictator Lujan Graham. Her latest royal decree last week ordered everyone to wear masks whenever outside, as part of the “Stage 1” phase of “reopening” the State. Reports are coming in from various locations that the number of people wearing masks in large cities (Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Clovis, Roswell, etc.) has DECREASED since her latest proclamation.

What is a dictator?

Dictator, dictatorship, evil, government, politician ...

Following up “What is a tyrant?” The dictionary tells us

DICTATOR  a ruler with total power over a country, typically one who has obtained control by force; a person who behaves in an autocratic way; (in ancient Rome) a chief magistrate with absolute power, appointed in an emergency. Synonyms: autocrat, absolute ruler, tyrant, despot, oppressor, Big Brother, supremo, and many more.

Private tyranny – less evil than “public” or “government” tyranny?

For years, I (like Mama Liberty) have defended the rights of private business – whether a sole proprietor, a partnership, or a corporation. Those rights include who they are willing to do business with, what they allow to be done on their private property (even if open to the public), and what they allow their services to be used for.

I recognize that there have always been limits to that – for instance, that enslaving other humans cannot be tolerated even if it is on private property. Mama Liberty and I disagreed on whether or not the God-given right to self-defense (bearing arms) could be restricted by a private business or not.
