More government “benefits”

Another example of the benefits of government can be seen in the forests of the Western United States.

Oregon forest fires: Let them burn | Street Roots
A forest burning in Oregon

A recent article in a Los Angeles publication “City Watch” reports that burned-out forests here in the States are not re-growing themselves. Why? Manmade global warming is the cause for both the fires and forests’ failure to recover from massive fires in the last three-four decades. (And blames the “biomass industry” for contributing to the death of forests and the planet warming – and concealing the evidence.)

Ah, the “benefits” of government

Over the past several weeks I have accumulated a half-dozen news stories about how wonderful government is for those under its thumb. Or should I say “governments” and “their thumbs.”

Over the next week or so, I want to look at the truly great (still being sarcastic, folks!) benefits we have from Excessive Government, using those stories.

Big, excessive government is bad for your health, your privacy, your pocketbook…. And the planet.

Consider Los Angeles County and the City of Carson in California.

This time it will be different!

Or so say the socialists/so-called “progressives” – the nationalist and international socialists, the communists, the Tranzis, the fabians, the Chavezistas, and all the rest. Like the campaign promises of statist politicians, and the reports of the guvmint bureaucrats (probably starting about the time of Nimrod and the first Pharaohs). The same words, over and over.

Really! We promise! On the grave of Karl Marx!

And never fulfilled. Never!

Self-fulfilling prophecies?

“Violence is the voice of the unheard.” I think it was our illustrious leader-in-waiting that said that back in the evil days of 2020 before the monster Trump was forced out of office.

Now, after nearly a year of living under the sleepy guidance of Uncle Joe, the thought returns.  What if she is right?  Admitted, violence is not ONLY the voice of the unheard, but perhaps…

Who, as we approach the new year of 2022, are the unheard here in America?  Who cannot speak out on anything without virtually instantaneous censure, cancellation, and deadening silence?

Are some societies and civilizations “better?”

It is a frequent accusation made today. Diversity is in the ascendant, so you will often hear that we must treat all societies, all ways of living, all cultures as being equal. In fact, as accusations of systemic racism rise (not just “critical race theory” but the 1619 meme), all other cultures – indeed, ANY other culture – is superior to that of the States. American culture, American society, American civilization (and possibly ALL of “Western or Euro-American Civilization”) is inferior to anything else existing today.

That is absolute rubbish, particularly for any lovers of liberty. And whether we are speaking of ideals or results. There has been and is a vast difference in the quality of civilizations and societies.

Eighty years … as memories continue to dim

“Those who forget their history are doomed to repeat it.”

Eighty years ago on 7 December 2021, as planned and as a result of efforts of a great many people in multiple nations, the United States of America officially entered World War Two, when the Imperial Japanese Navy launched a massive aerial attack on the United States Navy’s base at Pearl Harbor, Hawai’i. This and other attacks on American, British, and French bases and possessions in Asia and the Pacific signaled the beginning of the Great Pacific War.

Corrupt government: bribery in America

For decades, the FedGov – Congress – has instigated one of the most corrupt practices of American government in general.  That is the constant and wholesale bribery of state and local governments through federal funding tied to “voluntary standard” – the federal purse strings. It is a disgusting tactic which is heartbreakingly effective.  It steals away the sovereignty of the States, and the liberties of their people.

The latest example of that hideous action is taking place right now – doing so at the expense of yet another freedom of Americans.

On 30 November (a day soon to be forgotten, without doubt), 80 Republicans in the US House of Representatives voted with every Democrat to fund the Immunization Infrastructure Modernization Act as I was notified by a reader (thanks, Scott!) forwarding me an article by Patty McMurray.

Countering propaganda – in the pandemic panic

A few weeks back, The Atlanta published a well-written piece of propaganda about “Rural America’s False Sense of Security” which you can read on Newsbreak at the link. It of course deals with SARS-CoV2 – Beer Flu and how rural areas of American States are worse off in so many ways – poor, elderly, in poor health, uneducated – in comparison with “progressive areas” in Blue States and urban areas, and therefore are killing themselves with COVID-19 because they refuse to do the right thing: get shot up with any of the vaccines, wear masks, and the rest. (One person extensively quoted in the piece holds up his 2-year-old as an example of how mask wearing is a wonderful part of everyday life – I call that brainwashing and child abuse.)

Is it for the children???

In one of the recent spat of mass shootings and killings across the Fifty States, we have the Michigan killings in Oxford High School. The 15-year-old shooter (still alive and bugging his jailers about how much press mention he is getting) killed three and wounded another 7 teens and a teacher. (A fourth student may have died later in hospital).

One of those is rightly hailed as a hero: 16-year-old Tate Myre, a football player, attacked the killer barehanded, in an attempt to stop the killer. While he did not stop him, it is reported that his brave action allowed many people to escape safely.
