House Report: Al Qaeda in Maghreb and Al Qaeda-Linked Ansar al-Sharia Did Benghazi

(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: Listening to or reading Congressional reports is like reading months-old newspapers:  the obvious takes forever to make it through the computers and committees – and the gray mush that has replaced the little gray cells in the 535 of them.  (Not to mention aides and staffers and lobbyists.)  And of course, beCAUSE it is stale news, it gets buried and no one remembers all the thugs and thugettes that lied and lied about how some idiotic tax-dodging Armenian C-grade movie maker got all the wonderful, loving, peaceful, decent, heavily-armed population to go attack the embassy while all the authorities were playing golf or writing their autobiography or the next day’s lies for public consumption.

Theft by government  – Congress in action
Congress Prepares $100 Million Bipartisan Flu Tax

(Weekly Standard)  Along with taxes on other vaccines, this tax would fund the Vaccine Injury Compensation Trust Fund.  The fund is a “no-fault alternative to the traditional tort system for resolving vaccine injury claims that provides compensation to people found to be injured by certain vaccines.”

Mama Liberty: Well, gosh… one MORE reason not to allow anyone to inject you with poison “vaccine.” This farce has gone on long enough. For whatever reason, I’ve never had the “flu,” and have never had a “flu shot” either. Really glad about that.

Nathan: Any excuse to rob people, I guess.  And to put fear and terror in the hearts of those you rob, so that they don’t squawk as much:  “Government could save us from these horrible diseases.”  From long experience in trust funds and how they work for landfills and fuel tanks in Colorado (and else where), it goes like this:  A hundred million dollars a year builds up over ten years, and there are no claims (at least none that are acceptable) for compensation from the fund, so the legislature says “we can raid this, and let it build back up again.”  So they pass a law to steal the billion, and then add insult to injury by raising the tax to “replenish” the fund, lest we have a major problem. Neat scam, huh?

Energy – Government goofs (2 stories)
Increased Natural Gas Production Lowers Emissions

(Wall Street Journal) Carbon dioxide emissions from energy production has fallen 12 percent between 2005 and 2012, according to the U.S. Energy Department…

Nathan: Amazing what wonders a crash can do, eh?  Or new technology.  Or private business to INVEST in new technology that government agencies will not touch.  Never fear, government will come along to steal it soon enough.  Especially since their own pet windmill scheme is falling FLAT on its face, as the next story relates.

Wind Energy Cannot Compete in Free Market
(GlobalWarming.org)  The cost per megawatt-hour (MWh) of combined capital and operating expenses of the lifetime of a new wind energy unit is $96/MWh versus $66.1/MWh for natural gas…

Nathan: Put simply, “free wind energy” costs 50% more than cheap, abundant, low-carbon-footprint natural gas.  And this is not talking about all the nasty stuff that wind energy does:  the carbon footprint is huge, the birds are dead, the landscape (or seascape) is permanently changed   And of course, the government both profits from AND subsidizes it with billions stolen from you and me. But never fear, it is GOOD for the Environment, and the kiddies LOVE it.

Mama’s Note: Oh, almost nothing is “permanent.” The machines can be dismantled and the components used for other things eventually.

War on some drugs – Celebrity twits
Susan Sarandon: ‘I Would Like to See Everybody Be Able to Smoke Pot’

(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: I assume she means (a) “legally” and (b) “voluntarily.”  But with people like her, you never know. Besides, all the cool people, like the “messiah” already done smoked all the weed you can imagine.  And you KNOW (whatever she says) that it would be majorly uncool to have a fat couch potato in a white knit wifebeater swilling his Bud (or – gasp, Lone Star) with one hand and holding a doobie between tokes in the other hand.  Even if it does keep the nausea down from the chemo for his lung cancer.  By the way, according to her the “War on Drugs” is racist – BIG news flash, in 1969 maybe. (When she was 23: I had to go look her up, as I vaguely recalled she was an actress: 125 movies, a typical Baby Boomer liberal and child of the 60s.  One of those whose parents gave her a big bustline (which she likes to still display to the world at age 71, apparently) and met budget by shorting her on brains. (I am assuming she didn’t buy the 20 or so pounds of extra body fat, but that much silicon surely could increase processing power a foot or so higher, right?) Sad that so many people worship people like her.)

Kerry’s ‘New Paradigm’ to Deal With Terrorism Includes Job-Creation for Palestinians [sic]

(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: So, excessive unemployment causes terrorism, except of course in the United States where it is people with guns who cause terrorism.  Notice his “paradigm” doesn’t include disarming the “Palestinians” in any way.

Mama’s Note: “Disarming the Palestinians?” Oh, that would be interesting… Not that ENOUGH of them are truly adequately armed, of course.

Congress in action – Tranzis
Harry Reid: “Government is Inherently Good”

(Breitbart, via Conservative Action Alerts) Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said he can’t understand why the tea party remains popular, given its similarity to the anarchist movement and its steadfast opposition to the “inherently good” government. Mr. Reid, Nevada Democrat, made the statements during floor remarks in the Senate earlier this week, expressing dismay over legislation stalled because of tea party opposition, Breitbart reported.

Nathan: Tranzi babble – evil words about an evil institution.  Reid (and 98 or so of his colleagues) neither knows nor cares about the philosophy which led (however badly it turned out) to the American system of government – a philosophy that said that government is inherently evil but probably a NECESSARY evil that we must control and limit in every way.  (Yes, I know that they were wrong: to believe that evil is necessary is a huge step (or leap) towards Hell – and hell on Earth.)  It is Reid’s position that leads to the gulag and Dachau and the Khymer killing fields.  The enemies of liberty have seldom been so forthright as this – but usually they are sneaky, like that thug Holder.

Mama’s Note: But Nathan, that depends entirely on the premise and goal of the beholder… if the total control and subjugation of all human beings to the collective is the goal, then here is no question but that “government” is necessary – and not evil at all. You either is or you isn’t… this compromise business is stupid.

The “messiah’s” minions – Tranzis
Holder Calls Amnesty a ‘Civil Right’

(Conservative Action Alerts) During a April 24th speech to the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Attorney General Eric Holder said that creating a “pathway to earned citizenship” was a “civil right.”

Nathan: Yes, this is ANOTHER Tranzi babble – there is no “right” to become a citizen except by birth – and that should not be a right.  Even if you believe in government, citizenship is an obligation that comes with certain necessary privileges that should be chosen voluntarily and earned by proven performance in fulfilling those obligations – or at the very least, demonstrating your ability to perform those obligations.  But it is certainly no right the way that free speech or bearing arms or innocence (until proven guilty) is: no more than food or shelter or clothing is a “right.”  Of course, Holder does not believe that things like arms and speech and innocence ARE rights: he’s an evil thug who recognizes no law of God nor man except the law of might makes right.

Mama’s Note: Well now, “amnesty” indicates a general forgiveness for something wrong… Since arbitrary borders and “citizenship” are artificial things, the whole question is easily answered by universal self ownership and self responsibility. When the whole question resolves around imaginary lines on a map, and insane “entitlements” provided for by theft… the whole discussion devolves into insanity.

The “messiah” – Tranzis
Obama: Citizenship ‘Expresses Itself Through Our Government’
(CNSNews.com) President Barack Obama told donors at a Democratic National Committee fundraising event at a private residence in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday that Americans express their citizenship and obligations to one another “through our government,” among other areas.

Nathan: Excuse me while I throw up.  After the Senate and the racist scum in his administration, we have this bilge.  It is not that he is necessarily wrong (there are a lot of definitions of “citizenship” and “citizen” out there which are revolting to me and other lovers of liberty and freedom.  (Webster’s first definition may be the best for citizen: “an inhabitant of a city or town; especially : one entitled to the rights and privileges of a freeman”; the first two for citizenship: “1: the status of being a citizen, 2 a : membership in a community.”

But this not what this man is talking about: not whether I am a freeman, a member of Whispering Pine community or Pennington County or the Black Hills or South Dakota: he is talking about “federal citizen (subject)” and no doubt “world citizen (subject)”

Mama’s Note: I belong to ME, without any strings except those I freely accept (with family or community.) My “obligation” is only to those I recognize as mutually acceptable and beneficial.

Why do I carry a gun?

Once in a while, someone asks me why I carry a gun… what is the reason?

I have lots of reasons.

I once had to shoot a man to save my life.

I am the only one responsible for my life and safety.

And I love my guns.

But what most people don’t seem to understand is that I don’t NEED any reason at all.

Asking for the “reason” I carry a gun is very much like asking if I have underwear on.

NOBODY’s business.

Libertarian Commentary on the News #13-15B: Baby killers and other criminals

I again return to the new Bergen-Belsen, that hypocritical and evil place called Philadelphia, once again proving its wickedness by not demanding justice be done.

Nazgul – Culture wars: killing babies (2 stories)
Gosnell’s Attorney: ‘Ludicrous’ ‘To Say a Baby is Born Alive Because It Moves One Time’

(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: I realize that the attorney has to stand up for his client, no matter what a piece of living garbage that client is, but this is such a ridiculous claim as to make the attorney an accomplice after the fact:  the testimony clearly stated that the baby was moving and alive for more than 20 minutes after being “aborted” before Gosnell “snipped” it – decapitated it and murdered it in cold blood, premeditated.  But apparently the judge does not believe that babies born live – if accidentally alive – are human, as the next story relates.

Judge Throws Out 3 Murder Charges in Gosnell Abortion-Murder Case
(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: “There ain’t no justice” – “TANJ” – is a frequent cry throughout human history, and once again this seems to be proven.  The man who killed or directed the killing of TENS of thousands of babies, and who unlike Hitler or Stalin or Mao seems to have done a good deal of it “hands-on” is off the hook for three of the pitifully few (seven) charges of murder he faces, even while his employees turn states’ evidence to get off the hook as well, and the politicians and cops and “welfare workers” and medical inspectors of Philadelphia and Pennsylvania get out of even having their hands slapped.  No reason is given for the dismissals in the story, just as no reasons are given for why he did not face charges of crimes against humanity and mass murder, and even genocide.  Yes, he can only hang or fry or be gassed or injected once, and I know that vengeance is the Lord’s, but all this does is show that children can be killed with virtual impunity, and so the killings elsewhere will continue, and no doubt ARE continuing in Philadelphia right now with someone who at least knows how to keep the vermin down doing the killing.

Mama’s Note: And yet… the death of even one child at Newton or anywhere else – when killed with a gun – is supposed to be sufficient reason to make everyone in the country completely helpless… except police, of course.

Congress in action – American front
Sen. Chuck Schumer on Border Security: ‘We Certainly Need More Drones’

(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: What, he and the other 534 members of Congress are not enough?  Seriously, Schumer is a slaver in his heart, and he wants them to keep the people under control – his fear of a real republic and people who stand up for their rights is obvious.  Also seriously, if we NEEDED more drones for border security, we have a fleet of them operating all over the Middle East, and all we need to do is bring them home to protect our borders, which is a MILITARY function and not the proper role for one of the biggest porkbarrel agencies on the planet.  And bring the airmen home to maintain and fly the things too (although I suspect that the pilots are already at home at Groom Lake and telecommuting to kill innocents in rural tribal areas on the other side of the world).

The “messiah’s” consort and minions – Stupid government
First Lady: ‘Federal Workers Are This Invisible Face, No One Knows What They Do’
(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: Lady, I don’t know about Chicago, but “federal workers” are in my face almost EVERY day, if not every HOUR of the day, and I know EXACTLY what they do: they steal from me, waste what they steal, and make my life and those of my family and my friends, co-workers, and clients poorer and more miserable than they should be.  They are the evil 1% that lord it over the rest of us and cause untold misery at home and abroad.  And you are one ROYALLY STUPID lawyer (or former lawyer) whose major skill is lying.

Mama’s Note: The utter waste, from any conceivable direction, is really hard to communicate to a lot of people… unless they’ve spent some serious time in the DMV, or being audited by the IRS. Most of those really do “get it.” This “lady” has obviously never been inconvenienced that way… though one does wonder about the “former lawyer” bit.

The “messiah’s” minions – American front/Home front
Napolitano to Cruz on 844-page Immigration Bill: ‘Actually I Have Read the Bill’

Nathan: What?  She can READ?  Her record in Arizona and now in DC seems to make a strong argument for needing to have her aides and others read to her.

Mama’s Note: …if they indeed ever bother.

Napolitano to Sen. Sessions on Poor Morale at ICE: ‘It’s Not Just With ICE – It’s Throughout the Department’
(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: Hmmm.  Does she have a mirror in her office or her “executive wash room?”  Perhaps if she uses it, she might understand why the entire department has low morals – excuse me, low morale.  Remember, everyone of their offices and posts has a picture of her and her slick-talking, America- and liberty-hating boss, on their walls: AND they have these really awful uniforms and jobs, and they mostly have families that go around saying their relative works playing piano in a cheap hooker bar or whorehouse so that they are not embarrassed by the truth…

Mama’s Note: Funny, but true… my niece’s X was an “air traffic controller,” and she divorced him when he decided to “move up” to fly helicopters for the DEA. She had enough trouble admitting to the ATC… but the DEA was just much too much.

Congress in action – Good riddance
Officials: Democratic Sen. Max Baucus to Retire
|
(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: One more enemy of liberty retiring to enjoy his stolen wealth – yes, stolen, even if he retiring just on his Senate pension.  Instead, he should be enjoying the rest of his life in SuperMax outside Canon City, paid for by taking every dime he has swindled or invested since he was first elected to ANY public office.  I cannot forgive the people of Montana for foisting this man and his hatred of freedom on the rest of us for all these years.

Ex-criminals-in-chief
Bill Clinton Omits ‘Creator’ In Citing Declaration and ‘Endowed With Certain Rights’ at Gay Awards Event

(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: Look, folks, we know that Bill Clinton is an amoral opportunist, shyster, con-artist, and big time parasite: of COURSE he is going to conveniently forget God, right up to the moment when he is pulled in front of the Great White Throne (kicking and screaming about “the definition of is,” no doubt) and judged.  Indeed, may the Lord have mercy on his soul.  Let us not get our knickers into a wad about things like this, and concentrate on what is important: he can believe whatever he wants to, as long as he doesn’t aggress against anyone else – and God WILL judge him and deal with him as he deserves.

Congress in action – Theft by government
Rep. Ellison: New Taxes ‘Really Should Be Paid’ to Maintain ‘Liberty and Justice for All’

(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: He is Muslim, which means his definition of “liberty” and “justice” is warped by his false religion, but this is extreme even so.  Taxes produce liberty and justice?  In what universe?  Not this one.

Libertarian Commentary on the News #13-15A: Home front

Islamic wars: South Asian front
Pakistan: Rare Christian retaliation against Muslim violence

(Christian Science Monitor) “As violence against religious minorities in Pakistan continues to grow unabated, at least one group of Christians has decided it is finally time to fight back. Earlier this month, in what observers and locals characterize as a very rare occurrence, Christians in the Francisabad neighborhood of Gujranwala stood their ground when a group of Muslims from nearby settlements began attacking their property.” (04/22/13)

Nathan: As Mama Liberty pointed out to Steve T., who wrote the headline, this is self-defense and NOT “retaliation” – and it is a crying shame that too many “christians” and “libertarians” both can’t tell the difference.  You do NOT become a “vigilante” either, just by defending yourself.  God gave ALL His children the right to defend themselves, and the obligation to defend their families, and their communities (“do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”)  Pakistan, Afghanistan, “Iraq,” Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Algeria and all the rest are places filled with evil men and controlled by evil forces – too often evil forces allied with the United States and other western powers.  Self-defense is essential, and more and more evil will take place until those who are NOT evil stand up against it.

Home front – Stupid government
Security theater: US to keep restriction on small knives on planes for now
(CNN) “The U.S. government will temporarily delay a controversial rule that would again permit passengers to carry small knives on commercial flights three days before it was due to take effect. The Transportation Security Administration said in a statement on Monday it would consider additional input from a federal advisory committee that includes aviation-related interests, passenger advocates, and law enforcement experts before activating the new regulation.” (04/22/13)

Mama’s Note: Nobody REALLY thought they’d be “allowed” to take a “knife” on an airplane, did they?

Nathan: As usual, one thing (in this case, the ricin mailings and bombing in Boston) is a convenient excuse to crackdown on something totally unrelated, like in the Sandy Hook killings, where (supposedly) pistols were used, but it was an excuse to try and ban rifles (“assault weapons”).  Tyrants (and nannies) use anything as a hook for their exercises in control.

Home front – “Gun-free zones”
15-year-old boy found shot to death blocks from President Obama’s home

(Chicago Sun-Times) When Timika Rutledge didn’t see her son – nicknamed “Cornbread” – waiting for her on the corner Monday night, she immediately got a bad feeling. After the police cars swooped in, she soon learned that her 15-year-old son, Cornelius German, was lying …

Nathan: If the “messiah” had not had a home there, would this not have happened?  Is it all his fault?  And how did the boy get killed?  Chicago is the town with all the tough gun laws!  But his mama said he is NOT a gangbanger, just had friends who were.  She raised her son the way the “messiah” treats this country:  abusive and full of lies.

Mama’s Note: Well, we don’t know really. I’m sure that it is almost impossible for boys raised in Chicago to avoid being involved with gangs to some degree. Obama’s Chicago house had noting to do with it.

Home front – Islamic wars
Saudi Students in U.S. Up More Than 500% Since Sept. 11, 2001
(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: We supposedly don’t let pedophiles or Holocaust implementers/apologists or rapists into the nation, but there is no indication that any of these people are screened for such things (which are not, apparently, crimes in Saudi Arabia and therefore would not show up in a records check).  Like everything else the government claims to do, they do NOT do this well – indeed, they make matters worse.

Mama’s Note: With all the money the Saudi rulers have, it’s a little surprising they don’t have plenty of their own universities. But I don’t expect the US gov. or the Saudi state to screen these people, regardless of their criteria. Everyone is responsible for themselves and their legitimate dependents.

Attempted murder, rape or child molestation should be a one way ticket to the morgue – preferably at the hands of the intended victim.

Russian front – Hypocrisy
Putin’s Russia launches ‘unprecedented’ crackdown on activists, rights group warns
(NBC News) It also comes weeks after the State Department cataloged a series of human concerns in Russia, including restrictions to harsh fines for unsanctioned political meetings, electoral fraud and the detention and trial of citizens without due process.

Mama’s Note: The only thing that is “unprecedented” is the level of hypocrisy – both the US and Russia. The US “state department” doesn’t consider the “Patriot Act” atrocities and Gitmo, TSA… etc. as human rights violations? How convenient…

Nathan: You mean like the way they are handling the “Suspect #2” in Boston – or the hundreds of thousands of citizens locked down in panic for almost 24 hours?  These “rights groups” are as biased as the US and UN agencies whose activities they support and validate.

Islamic wars: Arab street revolt
Muslim Mob Destroys British War Cemetery

Video shows unidenified Libyans (including those in typical Imam-style dress) knocking over grave stones and attempting to tear down the memorial cross in what is clearly a British WW2 War Cemetery.

Nathan: (The caption states this is a cemetery of “British war victims” – a totally different idea than the reality: British war dead: soldiers and sailors and airmen, NOT “victims” but killed in action.) Although I do not understand Arabic, the word “Israeli” was clear at least once, giving the impression that in the eyes of those desecrating the cemetery, the British are somehow equated with the Israelis.  (I could not see if any of the gravestones being broken and toppled had Stars of David or not.) It is unlikely that all the stones knocked down and splintered were of Jewish dead.  And of course, it ignores the fact that the British dead were killed in the process of liberating Libyans from Italian and German conquest and occupation.  But this is typical for the Muslim communities in the world:  making a joke or publishing a cartoon viewed as “desecrating” the memory of Mohammad (peanuss butter und honig) or stating something “disrespectful” about the “Religion of Peace” (TM?) is viewed as an insult punishable only by death.  Graves which have been left in peace for a half-century must be destroyed, apparently not in a fit of violence but in sober determination that anything Western is evil and fair game for any abuse and vandalism wanted.

Quote of the week

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Gold: Business as Usual?

By L. Reichard White
©April 20, 2013

On Friday April 12 and Monday April 15, 2013, the titular price of gold dropped a total of over $200, a performance not seen in over 30 years. Monday saw the biggest one day dollar drop in gold ever. The Friday move was about 4.88 standard deviations meaning it should only happen about once every 4,700 years, and the two day price movement in the GLD ETF was in the eight standard deviation range — meaning the sun should burn out before it happens. Everyone’s looking for explanations.

Yet, at the same time, ABN AMRO, one of the largest banks in Europe, didn’t have the physical gold it had contracted to deliver and defaulted. Venezuela, Germany, Mexico and the Netherlands are repatriating their gold from the United States — and the U.S. Mint has periodically suspended sales of gold and silver coins because of a lack of the precious metals. Maybe that’s because as a CNBC survey discovered, more Americans prefer gold over all other investment classes.

Maybe it’s just a normal trashing of the gold price by the government-banking axis, but an extreme one.

But why now?

Hopefully the answer is, “Because we’ve been trying to protect our Keynesian zero-real-interest-rates against gold ever since it hit $1923.70/oz and threatened them — and just NOW all the factors were finally right.” Former U.S. Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Paul Craig Roberts thinks that’s the case.

But if the answer is, “We see a serious ripple in the fiat money force, and we’re trying to head the disaster off at the pass,” they may be right. Worse, their blatantly obvious action against gold may precipitate the very disaster history suggests they should fear. Maybe Japan’s early April program to inflate the yen as far as the eye can see was the ripple that broke the camel’s back.

In that case, Paul Craig Roberts explains what the bankster-government axis is worried about.

Here’s an example of how nervous central banksters get about a rising gold price – – –

We looked into the abyss if the gold price rose further. A further rise would have taken down one or several trading houses, which might have taken down all the rest in their wake. Therefore at any price, at any cost, the central banks had to quell the gold price, manage it. It was very difficult to get the gold price under control but we have now succeeded. The U.S. Fed was very active in getting the gold price down. So was the U.K. –Edward A. J. George, Governor of the Bank of England and a director of the BIS, to Nicholas J. Morrell, Chief Executive of Lonmin Plc: Civil Action No. 00-CV-12485-RCL, Filed Dec. 7, 2000

Why are governments involved? Guess which organizations are, hands down, the biggest debtors in the world and so must have low interest rates? Guess which particular one is the biggest debtor in the history of the world? Hint: THE Debt Clock

So you shouldn’t be surprised when veteran metals trader Andrew McGuire reports that the western banking-government amalgam — spearheaded as usual by Bankster Goldman Sachs with its bearish call on gold last week — dumped more than an unheard of 500 tons of PAPER gold on the market late last week (April 12, 2013). And, it seems, pimped, cajoled, and forced other weak hands to play along.

CNBC’s Rick Santelli, April 15, 2013, reports a sell order of 125 tons from a single source on Friday’s open alone. There’s a similar report from Ross Norman but of 400 tonnes, and another from Mark O’Byrne at GoldCore that, “ Massive $20 Billion Paper Gold Sell Orders Trigger Stop Loss Selling And Unfounded Panic“.

There was a similar if even more virulent move in the silver pits.

What’s paper have to do with it? “Paper gold” means the move was done with promises to deliver gold, not with actual physical gold itself. Which is what makes the failure of ABN AMRO to deliver promised gold — and the U.S. Mint suspending precious coin sales — very interesting indeed.

It’s directly analagous to the beginning of an old fashioned run on a bank where the bank was unable to redeem its “Redeemable in Gold on Demand” dollars — the only Constitutional kind — because they’d printed those redeemable I.O.U.s for more gold than they actually had. If anyone else had done that, it would be called “counterfeiting.”

And because the banks are so interconnected, this isn’t just a run on ABN AMRO.

AND maybe the repatriation movement, besides being interesting, is the straw that lit the fuse as Venezuela, Gremany, probably Holland, and perhaps some other countries are repatriating their gold which has been theoretically stored in the valuts beneath the Federal Reserve Bank of New York — made famous in Die Hard With a Vengeance, the third movie in the series. Mexico, with about 95% of it’s gold reserves in New York and The Bank of England, is also beginning to repatriate “its” gold.

The real tell for anyone who doesn’t believe in this sort of thing is that even the experts all remark on how unusual it is. For example, according to CNBC’s Sharon Epperson, “The volatility that [the NYMEX futures traders] are seeing right now in the gold market, they say, is unprecedented in the last twenty, thirty, forty years they’ve been trading.” Likewise renown analyst and long-time market observer Dennis Gartman remarked on CNBC, April 15, 2013, ~”In 40 years observing the gold market, I’ve never seen anything like this.”

That’s what it now takes to get folks’ attention, and clearly this hasn’t been lost on those engineering such events these days. And remember, when the government does it, it’s not a conspiracy, it’s a plan.

History? That was when France, a few other countries, and most importantly, the markets, called Uncle Scam’s Bretton-Woods “London Gold Pool” paper-gold bluff by taking delivery of actual physical gold from the U.S. and its other eight dragooned central banks. In stupidly trying to again raise the market bet and cap the price of gold, Uncle airlifted a bunch of gold to London, ultimately collapsing the floor of one storage vault. But that was all to no avail. Being caught with its counterfeit shorts down, finally, on August 15, 1971, with Executive Order 11615, Nixon “closed the gold window,” thus abrogating the international convertibility of the U.S. dollar to gold and finalizing the biggest default in history. So far.

So, trashing gold – – – as long as possible – – – is business as usual.

But there are consequences – – –

…after 1971, the era of stable growth simply came to an end for the United States. Eighteen months after the gold window was shut, American wages, adjusted for inflation, reached their all-time peak. …since then the average American worker has been losing ground. Family income has gone up, which is the statistic most politicians point to but it now takes two workers in each family to make that income, whereas in 1971 it took just one. -Joel Kurtzman, THE DEATH OF MONEY, (New York, NY: SIMON & SCHUSTER 1993), p. 70

Nathan: IF this were a free nation, the Catholic Archdiocese would have told this man to stay away, stay out of their building, and go find where ever Jeremiah Wright preaches to wave the bloody flag.  They would condemn him and his administration and the way he lets Americans be killed and maimed (to say nothing of all the OTHERS they let be killed and maimed – or do the killing and maiming) the way Nathan condemned David, the way Jeremiah and Isaiah and Daniel condemned the tyrants of their own time.

Nathan: Especially if we believe the conspiracy theories and the cause of both is some conspiracy to steal away more liberty.  But now that we have an idea that the perps are a couple of Muslim Chechen punks (at least one of whom supposedly was an “American”), it means that non-governmental terrorism IS applicable to all of these, including Fort Hood and that nutcase in Aurora.

Mama’s Note: Not to mention the fact that murder and assault are evil, no matter what name is applied to them.

Europe’s collapse
The heart of Europe

(El País) The crisis has accentuated the selfishness of EU countries, triggering the abandonment of cooperative European integration. A Spanish philosopher argues that cohesion and interdependence must be regained before an irrational north-south divide tears the EU apart.

Nathan: Welcome to Europe.  There were MANY reasons that so many Americans’ ancestors left that cesspool, but a major one is that the countries of Europe and their rulers and elites are evil and dangerous not just to other European societies but to the world.  (A friend says that it would have been useful to HAVE Germany win so that the other nations’ elites could have been exterminated, or at least severely pruned.)

Hoplophobes and hoploclasts
Former Reagan Budget Director Attacks Second Amendment ‘From the Right’

(CNSNews.com) “Why would you believe an 18th Century citizen militia equipped with muskets has anything to do with liberty? It doesn’t. The only way that we protect liberty is with the ballot box. And the real shield for liberty in America is the First Amendment: freedom of speech, freedom to organize, freedom to assemble. That’s how we get liberty, not with guns,” he added.

Nathan: MORE GARBAGE.  Watch out.  Notice this “right-winger” is pushing the same memes we hear from the WH and Congress:  “We can’t fight government drones and surveillance and nukes, the Second Amendment is only about muskets and swords and didn’t and doesn’t give or protect liberty.”  As I said yesterday, the fight is FAR from over.

Mama’s Note: The “constitution” and the “bill of rights” were attempts to codify and ensure the natural, normal rights of human beings to own and control their lives and property. They failed in that because far too many people abandoned that self ownership, and trusted others to control their lives – and far too many of them decided to engage in theft, murder and fraud as well.

The coming conflicts will have little or nothing to do with these old documents, and everything to do with people being forced by reality to face their own failure to take full responsibility for themselves and their legitimate dependents. Those who believe that they can, and should, continue to live by vicarious OR direct and personal theft, murder and fraud will not likely survive. They’re just about to run out of other people’s money.

Sessions on Immigration Bill: Illegals Won’t Be Stopped ‘And Pretty Soon We’ll Give You Amnesty’

Nathan: I suspect that events in Boston may also have some impact on this “immigration solution” in Congress.

Mama’s Note: How convenient… for someone.

Stupid government – Congress in action
House Passes CISPA, moves to Senate

(American Vision News) Rep. Alan Grayson, a Florida Democrat, proposed a one-sentence amendment (PDF) that would have required the National Security Agency, the FBI, Homeland Security, and other agencies to secure a “warrant obtained in accordance with the Fourth Amendment” before searching a database for evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

Grayson complained this morning on Twitter that House Republicans “wouldn’t even allow debate on requiring a warrant before a search.” . . .

Because Grayson’s amendment was not permitted, CISPA will allow the federal government to compile a database of information shared by private companies and search that information for possible violations of hundreds, if not thousands, of criminal laws.

Nathan: So while the gun control bill distracted them all, this piece of garbage passes, nailing yet another article of the Bill of Rights to the bottom of the dumpster.  Assuming the Senate agrees, the IRS now CAN search your e-mails to figure out if you owe them money or not. And who did this?  The GOP.  “Friends of Freedom” – NOT.  Those heavily armed cops in those photos from Boston can intercept your e-mail and cell calls and anything else.  Police State heaven.

Domestic Terror as a Response to Foreign Terror

Islamic war: American front – Home front
1 Chechen Terrorist Killed, the Other Sought: Wild Night of Bombs, Gunfire As a Major U.S. City Now ‘Shelters in Place’

(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: So, now we know – it IS right-wing, fundamentalist, religious and separatist extremists that killed and wounded these people.  A 19- and 20-year-old (or 26-year-old): young and emotional.  AND “white.”  So all the media were right?  Well, gee, they are Chechen – Mulsim Chechnyans. The worldwide Islamic war AGAIN washes ashore, and two young thugs (with or without aid and support) have pushed the United States just another step further into the hideous world of the police state.

Look at The Blaze for some of the hideous pictures of the police state coming out of Boston this morning, as the cops and the feebs and the rest go into an orgy of lockdown and kill-lust.

The Blaze: Boston Lockdown Photos

Nathan: This kind of response MIGHT be appropriate IF there were a death squad – similar to what was done in Bombay a few years ago, or the Breslin Massacre in Russia a few years ago. It is NOT appropriate for a city where there is a SINGLE known fugitive at large after stupidly trying to rob a 7-Eleven.  This is all theatre, as the feds, state, and city governments all try to demonstrate how dangerous this is and how responsive they are to “public safety.”

We see the mailed fist:  the cops stalk the streets in military uniforms and with military equipment, vehicles, and weapons, sighting guns on citizens that can clearly have NOTHING to do with the bombing, the firefights, and the robbery attempt.  The authorities have the excuse they want to HAVE martial law without really declaring it. If “Suspect #2” is not captured soon, it becomes an excuse to expand the zone of martial law more and more. Inevitably, someone – many someones – will get killed by the cops: either in a repeat of the panicked reaction with the rogue cop in Southern California, or because someone reacts in a way that some cop, hyped and panicked and armed to the teeth, thinks is a threat.  Or a dozen other scenario.

But will the government ever get down to the nitty-gritty and see what it did to create this situation?  Don’t hold your breath.  There are many MANY questions that need to be asked and won’t be – that need to be answered.

Meanwhile, if ordinary people had been more vigilant, trained and observant and armed and prepared to take action, and if schools had not been government-ruined and theft-funded, if … if… if…

Get OUT of the cities if you can, get prepared for what you know you should do to protect yourself, your family, your friends, your community.  And prepare for things to get a LOT worse.

Libertarian Commentary on the News, #13-14D: Bombing and death and taxes

Congratulations: if you are a “typical” or “average” US Citizen, today you have “freedom” from federal taxes for 2013 starting today.  That is, of course, INCOME taxes: you still have to worry about:

  • Social security (FICA) taxes
  • Medicare and Medicaid taxes
  • Excise taxes (on all that evil, wicked stuff: alcohol, tobacco, guns, ammo, and, of course… rubber (as in tires) and gasoline and diesel  EVVVVIIILLLL!
  • Telephone and related taxes
  • Medical device taxes
  • Health insurance taxes
  • …. and all the rest.

Don’t worry, that doesn’t include state and local taxes…  do you feel needed yet?

Obama: ‘Any Time Bombs Are Used to Target Civilians It Is an Act of Terror’
(CNS.News)

Nathan: Oh, really?  Does that include Pakistan and Afghanistan and Libya and Syria and Mesopotamia?  Does that include flash-bangs (definitely a type of bomb) used in Chicago and other cities in the US?  Or is there some unwritten or hidden “get-out-of-jail-free” card only for big, rich and arrogant governments?

Congress in Action – Hoplophobes and hoploclasts
Background gun check bill defeated – for now (54-46)

(Fox News via JFPO) The Senate on Wednesday defeated a vital background check amendment seen as the linchpin to Democrats’ gun control bill, dealing a major setback to President Obama — who lashed out at opponents in unusually blunt terms during remarks from the Rose Garden. “All in all, this was a pretty shameful day for Washington,” Obama said, accusing the gun lobby of lying about the bill.

Nathan: One of the favorite tactics of really big-time liars is, of course, to accuse their opponents of lying.  What makes this particularly galling is that what HE claimed that THEY were lying about is what HE was actually lying about.  Did you get that?  Keep in mind, this is at best a temporary reprieve:  if they use the supposed killing of 20 students with a handgun as an excuse to ban “assault weapons” and do an across the board background check with a system proven to be a failure, then having 3 people killed and 150 wounded can surely be used as an excuse to ban ammunition reloading supplies and a good deal of other things, including the guns – this is far from over.

State tyranny – Monopoly
Texas Internet Vet Loses License

(Washington Times via National Policy Digest) A lawsuit filed in early April in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas is challenging the state’s ruling that a veterinarian cannot practice his profession solely through the Internet. The case, which has implications for the future of telemedicine, is being represented by the Institute for Justice, which believes the rule infringes on free speech rights, says the Washington Post.

  • The retired veterinarian, Ronald Hines, operates a website that provides veterinary advice for a flat fee of $58 but refunds any fees if he cannot provide useful advice without an examination.
  • Hines has potential clients, some of whom are overseas with limited access to veterinary services, send him all available medical records, including notes and X-rays.
  • Hines has earned less than $3,000 a year through the website, which differs from a traditional brick-and-mortar practice by allowing him the ability to conduct research when offering advice.

Following state law, the Texas veterinary board suspended Hines’ license after discovering that his practice was strictly Internet-based. According to state law, a vet must have a personal relationship with the client and the animal and that relationship cannot be established solely through the telephone or Internet.

Nathan: Just another example of restraint of trade, racketeering, corruption, and sleazy dealing to protect a profession – while giving the consumer the shaft.

Home front – Death
Drunk Driving not only cause of teen alcohol deaths

(EverydayHealth via AOL) Analyzing 2010 federal government data, the group found that 32 percent of the drinking-related deaths among young people aged 15 to 20 involved traffic crashes, while 68 percent involved incidents such as murder (30 percent), suicide (14 percent), alcohol poisoning (9 percent) and other causes (15 percent).

Nathan: It is still the leading cause of death, just not for the majority of teen “preventable” deaths.  Of course, this type of data is very hard to really take into account: for example, most teen murders (not all) are of gangbangers in urban areas.  And it does NOT talk about WHO dies – is it the one who DIES who was drinking?  Or the one who CAUSED the death (as in both vehicle accidents AND murders).  And the contributing factors are critical as well:  for example, what is the distribution of driving (and murder) deaths among those who are in public (government-run, tax-funded) schools versus private schools versus home schools or in college (or graduated FROM school)?  What is the spread for deaths of alcohol poisoning?  And what about those less than 15?  Too much data to understand, but we know that our beloved protectors from government will glom onto this with glee.

Libertarian Commentary on the News, #13-14C: Other than bombings…

Two days past the “horrific” Boston Bombing – and that is of course virtually ALL the news media -mainstream or not- has been talking about for the past 48 hours.  And I will talk about it – to a point.  But there is more. Here are some other things to talk about:

1.  More hoplophobic/hoploclastic incidents, including:

a.  A veteran in Texas arrested for “rudely displaying” his AR-15 while with his son on a hike (to earn a merit badge) by a cop who announced his presence by tackling and handcuffing the soldier.

b.  The Senate was supposed to vote on the “compromise” gun registration bill today (Wednesday the 17th) but it was apparently blocked by some Senators that got cold feet after squashing the filibuster.

2.  More government meddling is in the works or getting publicity, including:

a.  A vet (animal doctor) in Texas is having his license taken away (confiscated, sound familiar?) because he is giving animal medical advice over the internet.

b.  At least one piece of work in Congress (and a GOP type at that) has called for merchants to report ANYthing that can be made into a bomb or weapon to the federal government, including beauty products and ball bearings.

3.   The growing immorality of America is showcased by various events, including:

a. Around the world today, Americans (troops and government agents and contractors) continued to kill innocent men, women, and children all in the name of protecting OUR freedom, and very very few people said a thing.

b.  The media coverage of the Gosnell trial in Philly increased, but much of it was the self-serving justification for why they didn’t report on it and  it wasn’t important from such sterling publications as the Huffington Post and New York Times.

c.   Meanwhile, of course, the media was more concerned with reporting which celeb slept with whom, what they wore (or didn’t wear), and where they vacationed: and millions watch advertising for these important stories to fund the immoral actions directly or indirectly.

That out of my bile ducts, on to the news:

Islamic wars: Mesopotamian front – Hypocrisy
Iraq’s Bloody Monday: 75 Killed, 356 Wounded

(Antiwar.com via Freedom’s Phoenix) At least 75 Iraqis were killed and 356 more were wounded in a series of attacks across the country.

Nathan: Even with the hideous event in Boston, it is WRONG to forget that that would have been a relatively calm day in Mesopotamia, Pakistan, or Afghanistan.  For the event in Boston to even compare to what happened on Monday in Iraq, the death toll would need to have been about 900 dead and 4272 wounded, or three hundred times the deaths and twenty-five times the wounded. We do not understand that we are still so incredibly BLESSED by God – or it would be Boston and Los Angeles and Denver and Minneapolis with these kinds of death tolls.

Home front – Self-defense
Home intruder fears owner has gun, calls 911

Gareth (via Nathan):  Actually, the police SHOULD be acting as backup to citizens in a situation like this.

Nathan: This guy is a real nut case! Of course, she SHOULD have had a gun just for situations like this.  Let him stew (or steam!) until the cops get there: after all, isn’t that what they claim they are getting paid for?

Mama’s Note: Oh, that IS funny. I do wonder how he was using a phone if he was in the shower… Maybe jumped out when he heard her. He was lucky she DIDN’T have a gun, actually. I wouldn’t have shot him, obviously, but he might have been in a coma when the sheriff got here… just from looking into the bore of this .45.

Congress in action – Hoplophobes and Hoploclasts
Bill in Congress No Bargain (see links in text)

(JPFO)  When the Manchin-Toomey Amendment first appeared, it was promoted as being pro-gun and essentially benign — it has not however taken long to discover it is anything but. As so often the devil is in the details and sometimes more importantly, what is NOT in there. One particular example is the apparent total lack of an audit trail for databasing operations — leaving records open to any and all use and abuse. Alan Korwin, JPFO advisor, author and owner of GunLaws.com, has written an extensive piece about this amendment and registration issues in general. He leaves very few stones unturned as he looks at numerous important aspects and ramifications. It is an important exposé of things it was hoped you wouldn’t notice as well as blatant infringements, along of course with the inevitable ‘sweeteners’.  Be sure to read Korwin’s detailed article, and share it widely, along with an equally important late addition on the subject from David Kopel — “The “Pro-Gun” Provisions of Manchin-Toomey“.

Nathan: The problem is, we didn’t need to have Korwin’s or Kopel’s analysis to KNOW that ANY law which requires “registration” of firearms or firearms owners is a BAD, ILLEGAL, IMMORAL, UNCONSTITUTIONAL, ANTI-LIBERTY, ANTI-HUMAN, RACIST, UNAMERICAN, law put together by a bunch of murdering aristocrats who will compromise us all into an even deeper slavery than we are now in.

ANY law that requires registration of ANYTHING that has to do with basic, human rights of ANY kind is VERY BAD because the registration is GOVERNMENT CONTROL and leads, sooner or later, to MORE restrictions, and in most cases, confiscation – indeed, with weapons, it ALWAYS has led ultimately to confiscation.

Mama’s Note: No non-voluntary government has any legitimate authority to impose anything at all.

The “messiah” – Culture wars: killing babies
White House Ignores Racial Aspects Detailed by Gosnell Grand Jury, But Weighed in on Past Legal Controversies

(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: Look, people (and I am addressing the editors of CNS News as well as too many other people), when are you going to get it through your head:  there is NO SUCH THING as black-on-black racism.  Any more than there is such a thing as black-on-white racism.  For Gosnell to target poor black women is NOT racism, because his skin color means that he has no “power” to treat them unfairly and therefore be a racist.  The poorest, barefoot, illiterate white cracker redneck sharecropper can be a racist if he or she does ANYTHING to a person with skin darker than theirs, because they have POWER because their skin is white.  And their actions are ESPECIALLY racist and sexual discrimination if that sharecropper or his wife or daughter is on their knees in front of an abortion mill praying that the black women walking in the door six or eight months gone to have that “powerless” black doctor with the mansion and the ear of every politician in the state take that black baby out of that black woman’s womb and KILL IT.  Not IT, but her or him.  Because THAT is “empowering” that black woman.  Is this one messed-up land?  Now, just remind me, what color does the “messiah” claim his skin is?

Mama’s Note: Sarcasm alert, for those of you on nerve overload… as I am today.

Now, you know I can’t leave Congress alone, so lets look at bombing and Congress:

Congress in action – Home front – Stupidity (four stories)
Rep. Pete King: Merchants Selling Ball Bearings, Beauty Products ‘Should Notify the Police’

(CNSNews.com) “For instance, merchants, if they’re selling any components that can be used for a bomb, everywhere from ball bearings to beauty products, they can all be used to make bombs. They should notify the police.”

Nathan: A very stupid tyrant – just what we need from a GOP seatwarmer.

Mama’s Note: Oh, I can just see how much fun this would be! Let’s DO IT!! Let’s do it voluntarily. If millions and millions of people suddenly call in like this, the police will all implode – they’ll go NUTS. Do you have any idea how many billions of nails, BBs, etc. are sold in this country in a day’s time? This could be the answer!! Shut down every phone line and 9-1-1 operator, overload every police department and LEO outfit in the country. They’d BEG us to stop! They’d probably pass a law AGAINST it… call it false reporting or something. This could be huge!

Boehner Calls Boston Marathon Explosions ‘A Terrorist Attack of Some Sort’
(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: Once more, the brilliance of this piece of human debris astonishes me.  No wonder the GOP elected him Speaker.  Even in Congress, he brings the IQ down.  It is not only the failure of the GOP to keep their “moral compass” but the abject stupidity of the leadership AND the backbenchers that accelerates the rot.  With people like this, it is a wonder we aren’t in WORSE shape than we are.  But there is more.

Cornyn: ‘Number One Responsibility’ of Federal Government Is to Keep Americans ‘Safe and Secure’
(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: Funny, I can’t find ANYthing at all about that in the Constitution.  This guy must be reading that kid’s homework:  “I am willing to give up some of my constitutional rights so I can be safe.”  But stupidity is even more widespread in Congress, as we see in the next story.

Boston Bombing Proof Sequester is Bad, Says Dem
(CNSNews) House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) decided to politicize the bombings that took place at the Boston Marathon on Monday, saying that they were “proof” that some of the sequester cuts were “irrational.”

Nathan: All these startling revelations (sarcasm) make me think that not only are we dealing with the most incredible collection of stupid people in American history, but makes me wonder if the bomb plot actually originated 394 miles to the southwest, so that all these threats to government as we know it could be dealt with as a package.

Libertarian Commentary on the News, #13-14B: More murder and terrorism

Culture wars: killing babies
Murdering Babies: All child killers are NOT equal

(Jewish World Review)[According to the media] The beheading of babies is a “local crime,” but coverage of a whiny Georgetown student who wanted government-subsidized birth control, a stupid Congressman’s rape theories, and a funding controversy is “policy.” You know what else are “local crimes?” Newtown, Aurora and Virginia Tech. …Make no mistake: the atrocity allegedly perpetrated by Kermit Gosnell is every bit as horrifying as the one committed by Adam Lanza. Innocents had their bodies mutilated, even as their lives were taken from them. Yet for our utterly corrupt media and their progressive allies, the Gosnell story is one atrocity too many, because it could be the same kind of game-changer regarding abortion progressives are desperately hoping Newtown will be regarding gun control.

Nathan: I continue my unintended theme of murder this week, again returning to the unimaginable horror of that place in Philadelphia which seems to be achieving the same body counts as a typical National Socialist death camp:  estimates as high as 56,000 dead children, many killed in the most horrifying and sickening of ways.  Gosnell, monster that he is, did NOT do this alone.  He had tens or dozens of employees, many if not most of which seem to have participated: to have killed the children themselves and to have taken action to dispose and disrespect the corpses, and to have hidden the horror.  But there were also apparently dozens or hundreds of government employees who were conspirators before and after the heinous acts of killing – and the might-have-been and actually-were mothers who participated in this killing of their children for their (the mothers’) own benefit.  How can any Philadelphian, any Pennsylvanian, any American hold up their heads when the sins of the Ba’al and Moloch worshippers of ancient Canaan and Carthage are condemned – how can we hold up our heads when the human sacrifices of the Azteca are condemned?  How ashamed we should be of what has happened in a “clinic” in an urban area, and of the way it is being treated.  I am so disgusted that these people are “Americans” and that I have to recognize them as humans.

Home front – Terrorists
Al-Qaeda Propagandist Called for Attacks on Sports Events
(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: Duh.  EVERY terrorist that has more than two brain cells to knock together (admittedly, there aren’t THAT many) knows that sporting events – starting with the Coliseum in Rome – is the best place to kill and wound a lot of people, make a big splash, and get the authorities all panicked and hyper. Any one remember Munchen in the 1972 Olympics? This was (fortunately) NOT well-planned or executed – this time.

Home front – Terrorists
Homeland Security Website: ‘Learn How DHS Helps Keep Our Nation Safe’
(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: Government propaganda at its best, of course.  The terrorists, fortunately, are usually more stupid than DHS and DoD, as I’ve said often enough.  Of course, we must also remember that the terrorists ALWAYS say it is for the nation’s (or world’s) own good that they are doing everything they are doing.

Mama’s Note: The DHS, et al. also always say that what they’re doing is for the “national good.” Depends on what one considers “good,” of course.

Home front – Terrorists – the “messiah”

WH Won’t Comment on Gosnell, Maintains Obama’s Support for Abortion
(CNSNews.com)

Nathan: We MUST understand that 99% of Gosnell’s victims are NOT humans to the “messiah” and his ilk.  According to recent testimony by Planned Parenthood, even the ones that ARE human to them were still only “provisionally so” and Gosnell had the power to decide that their provisional status could be revoked with the snip of a pair of scissors.  Only the woman that they let die MIGHT be a homicide victim by their definition, so of COURSE the White House won’t comment.  We don’t have to worry about the “messiah” waving a bloody flag or parading out dead children for THIS little situation.

Home front – murderers
Former Pa. Gov. on Not Investigating Gosnell’s Clinic: ‘I Guarantee You It Wasn’t Because of Political Pressure’
(CSNNews.com)

Nathan: Which makes it even worse.  I don’t care WHY they didn’t: incompetence, sympathy, agreement with Gosnell’s aims, racism, or whatever.  The fact is, government FAILED to protect TENS of thousands of the most innocent and helpless of humans.  This should be a trial similar to that conducted against National Socialist leaders AND followers in post-war Germany:  everyone who might have participated and might have covered it up should face a jury.  I don’t think that Gosnell will be executed (although Pennsylvania DOES have the death penalty), but even if he is, his death at his advanced age and after living decades in wealth and exercise of his perversions is hardly either preventing him from doing it again or a deterrent to others doing this.

For justice to be served, I suspect that several dozen if not several hundred people should be tried, convicted and executed – probably including both this former governor and several mayors, city councilmen, probably legislators, and whole bunch of cops and “welfare workers” and “child protection workers.”  Not in revenge, but to make it clear that “NEVER AGAIN” will this be permitted to happen.  (If I wanted revenge, I’d probably press for execution by crucifixion, because even drawing and quartering does not provide enough time.)

Home front – Hoplophobes and Hoploclasts
Texas: Soldier arrested on hike for “rudely displaying” weapons

(Fox News via Freedom Outpost) While the police department claims they requested the weapons to inspect them and that Grisham refused, Grisham’s lawyer said, “We believe that SGT Grisham complied with police officers’ request and was still arrested.” But that’s not all. At some point the officer drew his weapon on Grisham and called for backup. Once backup arrived they cuffed Grisham, took his rifle, concealed weapon, which had a valid permit, and hauled him off to jail.

Nathan: And people wonder why so many people have their hackles rise on seeing a cop.  This is TEXAS – right outside Fort Hood.  And yet the scum on local police forces think that THEY are our masters.

MI: Judge holds self in contempt for smartphone

(San Francisco Chronicle) “A Michigan judge whose smartphone disrupted a hearing in his own courtroom has held himself in contempt and paid $25 for the infraction.
Judge Raymond Voet has a posted policy at Ionia County 64A District Court stating that electronic devices causing a disturbance during court sessions will result in the owner being cited with contempt, the Sentinel-Standard of Ionia and MLive.com reported. On Friday afternoon, during a prosecutor’s closing argument as part of a jury trial, Voet’s new smartphone began to emit sounds requesting phone voice commands. Voet said he thinks he bumped the phone, and the embarrassment likely left his face red.” [editor’s note: Nice to see someone who believes his rules are for everyone? – SAT] (04/15/13)

Mama’s Note: Now, that’s a pretty nice surprise.

Nathan: Saw this late last night, Debby and I both thought it was pretty cool.  Only ten thousand more judges to go.

Gen. Hayden: Boston-Style Attacks Could Be ‘New Normal’
(NewsMax.com)

Nathan: General, with all due respect, sir, IEDs have been “normal” in most of the world for a couple of decades now, and it was just a matter of time before they actually worked.  Fortunately, junior officers and NCOs (and a few cops on the beat and a detective here and there) are SMARTER than the average tango and the average tango is NOT much smarter than the politicians which infest this land of ours.  Not that IEDs are the ONLY weapons that “official” tangos use:  but then, that five-sided building has its head so far up its rear end that it won’t even recognize that a traitorous military officer committed terrorism in killing soldiers’ families in Fort Hood.
